Former The Young and the Restless star Jessica Collins (ex-Avery Bailey Clark) teases that she's back in the shoes of one of her favorite characters -- but she hasn't said which one! Has the Emmy winner returned to Genoa City?
All eyes are on the social media accounts of former The Young and the Restless star Jessica Collins (ex-Avery Bailey Clark), who recently teased that she has reprised one of her most beloved characters and will share more details as soon as she can.

Collins has countless roles on her rsum that she could be referring to, but daytime fans are hopeful that the actress is back in the shoes of Y&R's Avery, a role she left in 2015. At the time of her departure, Collins opened up about the behind-the-scenes troubles that led to her exit and admitted that she was saddened by the way her character's time in Genoa City was wrapped up (read the full week's recap here).
"I've been disappointed with the story and the direction and integrity of my character for quite some time, but I was still hopeful we might be able to turn it around," the actress, who won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2016 for her work as Avery, revealed. "Then my contract was up for renewal, and I wasn't happy with their offer. I was told there was no room for discussion, which made me realize there wouldn't be much discussion for the character, either. With all those factors, I just felt like it was the right time to leave."
It's been four years since Collins' exit from Y&R, so have fences been mended, with the possibility of Avery's story continuing? It's not a far stretch, considering the CBS soap recently brought back a couple of actors who were also let go in less-than-ideal circumstances, including Doug Davidson (Paul Williams) and Greg Rikaart (Kevin Fisher).
But it's also quite possible that Collins' social media tease has nothing to do with Y&R. She has several other projects under her belt that she might be alluding to, including Grey's Anatomy, Dolly Parton's Heartstrings, and the Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot. So, it looks like fans really will have to stay tuned to find out which role the Emmy-winning actress has reprised!
