Y&R's Tracey Bregman loses home in California fire; other soap stars also affected by the blaze

Beloved The Young and the Restless star Tracey Bregman (Lauren Fenmore) has lost her home in California's wildfires. Other soap stars await news on their homes and pray for the safety of anyone who may be in harm's way.

Wildfires are once again raging in California, with millions of people fleeing for their lives as they watch their homes burst into flames and burn to the ground. Sadly, The Young and the Restless' Tracey Bregman (Lauren Fenmore) and her family are included in those who have lost their homes due to the uncontrollable blaze.

The actress took to Twitter to share that she is incredibly numb from the horrific experience but thanks God that everyone was able to escape the house, as the situation could have been much worse.

CBS Daytime shared a message of support with the actress on Twitter.

"The CBS Daytime Family sends our condolences to Tracey Bregman who has been directly impacted by the wildfires in Los Angeles," the show tweeted. "WATCH Tracey on @TheTalkCBS Today as she tells her story. One of too many who have lost so much. We [heart] you Tracey!"

On Monday's episode of The Talk, Bregman gave a first-hand account of the devastation.

"It's been surreal," Bregman shared. "It's kind of hard to wrap your mind around. I look at the video [of the house in ruins] and it's hard to believe all the family celebrations and everything that I had in there is gone."

Bregman said that this was her third evacuation since moving to Malibu in 2004, but this was the first time that her home had sustained any kind of damage. Bregman was also able to get a few personal effects out of her home, including some family photos and her Daytime Emmy. Everything else, however, is gone.

"I woke up actually thinking, 'I don't have anything from my past.' I have no notes or cards," Bregman added before noting that her children and animals did make it safely out of the house. "When you think of everything that could have happened, I just feel so grateful."

Unfortunately, Bregman isn't the only daytime star who has been affected by the wildfires. The Bold and the Beautiful's Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) took to Twitter on November 11 with an update about her home.

"We hear fire it is about 5 miles from our house. With the winds picking up it may not be good. But we are trying to stay positive," she tweeted. "Join us in sending love & light to all animals, people, and nature that may be in harms way."

Actor Gerard Butler and Camille Grammer Meyer of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are among other celebrities who have lost all or part of their homes.

CBS News reports that the fires currently raging in both ends of California have claimed the lives of 31 people, with Governor Jerry Brown requesting a "major disaster declaration" from President Trump.

If you'd like to help, CBS shared a list of organizations and charities that support relief workers on its web site.
