Creepy horror film trailer features Y&R's Kate Linder

Check out The Young and the Restless' Kate Linder (Esther Valentine) becoming a scream queen in the creepy trailer for her new film Dead Love.

Something wicked this way comes, and it's none other than The Young and the Restless' Kate Linder (Esther Valentine) in her new horror film Dead Love.

The beloved Genoa City actress plays the part of Caterina in the scary flick that takes place in a secluded mountain town and follows a young man who unwittingly falls in love with a mysterious funeral director who is guarding a dark secret.

"It was interesting to play a role in a horror film, especially after playing the role of Esther in The Young and The Restless for around 36 years," Linder tells Meaww, teasing that her character owns a mortuary in the film. "There is a young man who comes after his mother passes away. He comes to the mortuary to find out what the next step is to his mother's funeral... It was interesting for me to do."

Though Linder is new to the horror genre, Dead Love actually isn't her first horror film credit. She also appeared in 2016's The Charnel House.

"It was a great experience shooting for the film because of the location; we were in Colorado," she shares. "We filmed a lot in the Hamill House Museum. I enjoyed the shooting of my scenes. The horror part of it, I didn't witness that much of it in my role, but when filming, I did get to see that."
