The Young and the Restless is on the hunt for an actress to play a series regular role, and it sounds if she'll be bringing a dose of major drama to Genoa City and Jabot.
This fall will see the trees dropping their leaves and The Young and the Restless fans dropping their jaws. A new series regular actress is on her way to Genoa City, and the character sounds like she will be causing more than her fair share of drama in the business world and beyond.
The CBS soap opera has put out a casting call for an actress to take on the role of Nora, described as "a woman in her mid-30s to early 40s" and "an uncommon beauty, more amplified by an inner fire and ambition."
The casting call, reports Soap Opera Digest, also explains that the character "is not formally schooled in cosmetic skills," but "her natural intelligence powers an instinct for knowing exactly what makes a woman look and feel great," -- which is a strong indication that Nora could be working at Jabot.

The addition of another strong female character with knowledge of the beauty world comes just in time to help fill the void that Eileen Davidson's (Ashley Abbott) impending exit and Christel Khalil's Lily Ashby's incarceration will likely leave on the canvas. After all, feisty characters like Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) need plenty of competent sparring partners to keep things interesting!
The role of Nora is slated to begin taping on October 5, which means Y&R only has a few short weeks to choose their new series regular lady. Who would you love to see in the fiery, career-focused role? Let us know in the comments section below.
