She may no longer be in Genoa City, but fans can still see The Young and the Restless' Mishael Morgan (ex-Hilary Curtis). All they have to do is check out her upcoming film, Hometown Holiday.
Viewers of The Young and the Restless were put through the wringer this summer when fan-favorite character Hilary Curtis met a tragic end. The emotional scenes are still causing some fans who loved portrayer Mishael Morgan to tear up, but luckily, there is something happy around the corner: the actress will soon be appearing in a new movie.
Morgan is set to play Amber in the film Hometown Holiday, which filmed just outside the actress' hometown of Ontario, Canada. Based upon the book The Maverick's Holiday Masquerade by Caro Carson, the movie also stars Stephen Huszar, Bradley Hamilton, Sarah Troyer, Gabrielle Graham, Samantha Gracie, Andy Yu, and Heartland's Kevin McGarry.

Though it's unclear just how closely the film will follow The Maverick's Holiday Masquerade, the plot for the book follows a number of couples who attended a wedding during the holiday season in Rust Creek Falls, centering on Kristen Dalton.
Says the official description: "Since July, [Kristen] has been pining over the 'perfect cowboy,' Ryan, whom she met at the wedding. But he left town soon after -- for good, or so we thought. Now Ryan has returned, and folks are betting he and Kristen will be engaged before we can hang the holly. Not so fast, romantic revelers! Our out-of-town cowboy may not be exactly as advertised. Will they still meet under the mistletoe when Kristen finds out who Ryan really is?"
Author Carson took to her Facebook page from the movie set back in June to share: "On the movie set of Hometown Holiday, which is being made from my book The Maverick's Holiday Masquerade, filming on location outside of Toronto. Everyone at Brain Power Studios, and I do mean everyone, were an absolutely wonderful team. It was a thrill to be part of the movie magic for a couple of days."
IMDb states that the film is currently in post-production. Keep checking back to Soap Central for updates about Hometown Holiday's release date.
