The Young and the Restless' Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) has an exciting new business venture, and the show gave him a sleek new Dark Horse office to match.
The Young and the Restless has some "suite" news for viewers: Nicholas Newman, who has founded a new company called Dark Horse in response to his father Victor (Eric Braeden) getting on his nerves one too many times, is getting a brand-new office this week!
The show's production designer, David Hoffman, was tasked with giving the new space a very current "Nick" style. And just like Nick's current state of mind and the company name, there is some darkness to the character's penthouse suite.
"Even though there are dark accents, the ceiling in Nick's office is a big light box," Hoffman explains to TV Insider. "It's literally a contrast of dark and light."

Joshua Morrow also explains that the layout of the Dark Horse office allows for a completely new way of filming scenes at Y&R.
"There are four different zones," he says, referring to the elevator banks, the reception area, Nick's office, and the conference room that comprise the space. "[The set] is going to provide a different way of shooting scenes, the aesthetics alone. It's a cool looking set."
One small detail of the Dark Horse office fans may notice is Nick's framed higher education degree from Genoa City University. And that may give some viewers pause, as his freshman year of college was interrupted when he was charged with attempted murder. Looks like Nick must have secretly squeezed in earning the necessary credits to graduate!
Watch for Nick Newman's new Dark Horse set to appear this week on The Young and the Restless.
