Y&R's Daniel Hall written out

It appears The Young and the Restless' Scott Grainger, played by Daniel Hall, is taking a leave of absence.

If you're hoping for more material for The Young and the Restless' Daniel Hall (Scott Grainger), don't hold your breath. The actor reveals he's been written off the canvas for the foreseeable future.

With Sharon (Sharon Case) not wanting to have anything to do with Lauren's son now that she knows about his tryst with Abby (Melissa Ordway), and with Abby focusing on business in Paris, Scott doesn't have any major story at the moment. Wondering how that might affect Hall's time in Genoa City, several fans took to Twitter to ask him when they can look forward to seeing him on-screen again. His response? "It's gonna be a while" before he's back in the fold.

Part of the reason Scott may have been sidelined is the fact that Ordway is on maternity leave, having welcomed a baby girl this December. It's possible Y&R's powers that be are waiting for her to return before bringing Scott - - and his undeniable connection with Abby - - back into Genoa City happenings.

Hall joined Y&R in January of 2017 and quickly became a fan favorite. His previous credits include Mad Men, Graceland, Mixology, and Quarry.

What do you think about Hall's Scott being pushed to the back burner for the time being? We want to hear from you -- so drop your comments in the Comments section below, tweet about it on Twitter, share it on Facebook, or chat about it on our Message Boards.
