Former The Young and the Restless actor Corey Sligh was arrested and booked for child molestation in his home state of Georgia.
Actor Corey Sligh, who has appeared on a recurring basis as a Genoa City Athletic Club waiter/bartender on The Young and the Restless, was arrested and booked for child molestation.
A spokesperson for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office in the actor's home state of Georgia told TMZ that Sligh was brought in last month after the child's parents reported the alleged crime. According to police documents, the child is a girl Sligh knew who was under the age of ten at the time of the reported molestation. At this time, it's unclear how many times Sligh is accused of molesting the girl, but documents say the alleged acts happened between April and September of this year.
Sligh was arrested on October 14 and released that same day on a $22k bond.

TMZ contacted the actor for a comment. His response: "I am innocent and fighting this until the end, and the truth will prevail."
As soap fans may recall, this isn't the first time Sligh has made headlines near the holidays. The actor was allegedly hit by a car and attacked by two men in a parking lot on Thanksgiving 2014. Sligh later decided to sue Rite-Aid (a pharmacy chain where the alleged beating took place), claiming the drug store was negligent in its security staffing of the West Hollywood location at which the incident took place.
