The Young and the Restless' Thad Luckinbill (ex-J.T. Hellstrom) has been added as a series regular in ABC's upcoming Meaghan Oppenheimer drama pilot being produced by Reese Witherspoon.
Big news for The Young and the Restless alum Thad Luckinbill (ex-J.T. Hellstrom): the former daytime star has been cast in ABC's upcoming untitled pilot written by Meaghan Oppenheimer and executive produced by Hollywood star Reese Witherspoon.
According to Deadline, Luckinbill has been added as a series regular to the drama, which follows the personal and professional life of Gemma, a ruthless divorce attorney in Dallas. Gemma's life begins to unravel when her emotionally damaged, love-addicted sister (Charity Wakefield) resurfaces, triggering self-destructive tendencies and exposing long-hidden family secrets.
The actor, who's married to Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman) in real life, will play the part of Oliver, Gemma's trophy fianc who possesses both a preppy trust fund and classic good looks. He would be detestable if he weren't such a nice guy.

Following his 1999-2010 stint on Y&R, Luckinbill went on to appear in shows like Nikita, Grey's Anatomy, Criminal Minds, and Ballers. He's also made a name for himself behind the camera as a partner in Black Label Media, the company that produced Demolition and Sicario.
Keen fans may remember that this isn't the first time Luckinbill and Witherspoon have worked together. Luckinbill appeared in the actress' 2014 film The Good Lie.
