The Young and the Restless actresses Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott) and Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla Winters) are in the throes of a mini social media war involving racism.
The Young and the Restless' Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott; ex-Kristen DiMera, Days of our Lives) is no stranger to real-life drama, having starred on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but this time, the real-life drama hit her in a very unexpected way: her former costar, Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla Winters), who has brought a lawsuit against CBS and Sony for racial discrimination, has apparently blocked her on Twitter.
The mini-war began after Davidson tweeted her condolences for the nine innocent victims of last week's shooting in Charleston, South Carolina. "What happened in #Charleston makes me want to scream. And weep," she wrote. "Too much violence. Too much pain."
Upon seeing Davidson's tweet, Rowell responded with a tweet of her own, asking her former costar, "@eileen_davidson did you fight against racism on The Young & Restless?" She then commanded that another Twitter user not to be "distracted by willfully blind shameless ratings seekers," prompting Davidson to tweet in confusion, "Ok. What? Victoria Rowell has accused me of being a 'ratings seeker'? I have no idea how what I tweeted about Charleston became this."
But the drama doesn't stop there. Shortly afterward, Davidson took to Twitter to announce that her former costar had blocked her on the social media site. "Oh LORD," the actress wrote. "@victoriarowell blocked me! Haha. FYI she and I never had issues. Go figure. Love on."
And with that, the drama came to end (well, for now, anyway!).
