Greg Rikaart honored with HRC Visibility Award

Greg Rikaart was honored for being a leader for equality by the HRC and receive its Visibility Award at a gala held earlier this month.

The Young and the Restless' Greg Rikaart (Kevin Fisher) was awarded with the Human Rights Campaign's 2014 Visibility Award at New Orleans, Louisiana Gala on June 21, 2014.

"I am honored to be the recipient of the @HRC Visibility Award," Rikaart shared on Twitter. "Really honored. Thx HRC for all you do."

The Emmy-winning Rikaart came out publicly via Twitter last year on the day the US Supreme Court ruled against the Defense of Marriage Act, thereby allowing same-sex marriages to resume in California.
