The Young and the Restless has signed another former All My Children star. Darnell Williams, who played Jesse Hubbard on the ABC soap, will be reunited on Y&R with his long-time on-screen partner, Debbi Morgan.
The Young and the Restless will be reuniting one of the biggest supercouples in daytime television history -- only it's not a couple that's ever resided in Genoa City; it's one from All My Children.
Two-time Emmy winner Darnell Williams (ex-Jesse Hubbard, AMC) will join his former All My Children love interest, Debbi Morgan (Harmony Hamilton; ex-Angie Hubbard, AMC) on the top-rated CBS soap, according to Soap Opera Digest.
Morgan and Williams first appeared on-screen together when they began their roles on All My Children in the early 1980s, in the process becoming the first African American supercouple in soap opera history. Williams left AMC in 1988, and his character was killed off. Morgan, however, remained with the show and eventually saw her character migrated to another ABC soap, Loving.

In 1995, on Loving, Morgan and Williams were reunited. Morgan's character fell in love with Williams' Jacob Foster -- a man who bore an uncanny resemblance to her late husband, Jesse. Loving eventually morphed into The City, and Williams and Morgan were a part of that series for its run.
Williams and Morgan both reprised their iconic AMC roles in 2008, when Angie learned that Jesse had not, in fact, died 20 years earlier, but rather had faked his death to keep his family safe from some disreputable and dangerous people. Both actors remained with All My Children through the show's final episode, which aired on September 23, 2011.
A first airdate has yet to be announced for Williams, and his character had not yet been given a name. It is, however, expected that Morgan and Williams will again share storyline.
Morgan made her Y&R debut as Yolanda "Harmony" Hamilton on October 7, 2011.
