Welcome to Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Beyond the Gates

Today on Beyond the Gates, Martin and Smitty finally found out what’s really been going on with Tyrell after Martin was tipped off about the photo of Tyrell that has been circulating around his school as a reporter was threatening to release the photo. Tyrell gave an impassioned speech about bullying and also how, unfortunately, his parents were a huge part of it. Tyrell divulged that the children at school call him a "charity case" due to him being adopted into the Richardson family. Tyrell also threw shots at his fathers for them living in a "bougie" town and being well-off. It's, of course, hard to take a side on this matter as both sides present a solid case - Fathers wanting to protect their child, a child hoping that ignoring the problem and not having any outside interference will help the bullies leave him alone. However, Martin had a point in stating that Tyrell was physically harmed, and that is a definite problem that needs to be addressed. Mr. Martin isn’t happy, and Smitty is just seeking to keep the peace. We don’t blame you for wanting to take care of things, Martin! But, Tyrell is right, unfortunately. You stepping in will only make matters worse, and, even more, worse in private. Please, listen to your child (for once) and stay out of it. Of course, hopefully, Smitty can convince him to do just that. So, this leaves everyone wondering — will Martin stay out of this situation? Is he able to? Will the bullies leave Tyrell alone? Or will this problem only worsen? Only time will tell how this matter will play out. However, today's episode is a first step in the bullying, potentially, being over.
