If there is one thing Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) knows, it’s modeling. Next week, she hosts a farewell fashion show for Chelsea, and in the front row showing their support are Ted and Nicole (Maurice Johnson and Daphnée Duplaix), Anita and Vernon (Tamara Tunie and Clifton Davis), Martin (Brandon Claybon), Naomi (Arielle Prepetit), and Smitty (Mike Manning). Are Martin and Smitty not sitting next to one another for a reason? Smitty will be taking on a new influencer assignment, just as their son Tyrell suffers a humiliating blow. Will Martin support Smitty’s desire to start working again, or is he going to want him to stay home with the kids a bit longer while he pursues his own professional dreams?
Dani was upset when Chelsea announced she wanted to leave modeling to become a handbag designer, but no, she seems to be doing what she can to support her daughter’s decision. Microphone in hand, Dani announces to the crowd, “And now, what you have all been waiting for: Fashion!” Dani may have been upset that Chelsea wanted out, but she’s got a new protegee to take under her wing: Samantha.
Meanwhile, Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) is plotting against Ted Richardson. She casually tosses a stack of money at her daughter, Eva (Ambyr Michelle), and says that they’ll lay low for now. However, the last thing Leslie does is stay down for long. She’s got big plans for Ted. Leslie tells Eva that at the Richardsons’ big anniversary bash — when Ted least expects it — they’ll make their move. Leslie might not want to sound too confident as she starting to raise some eyebrows about Laura.
At the nurses’ station, Ashley (Jen Jacob) is having a rough time. She sees Andre (Sean Freeman) across the hospital lobby, camera in hand, and marches over to him. She warns him that if he cares about her and their friendship at all, he’ll get rid of the footage that he took for his documentary. What did Andre capture on film that has her so upset?
Anita is terrified and shares her concerns with Vernon. She says that she has fear that “this” isn’t going to end any other way than terribly. What now are the leaders of the Dupree family worried about? From Martin’s run at the presidency to Naomi taking on her dad Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) in court, there are so many choices.
