Beyond the Gates: Hayley's Surprise shocks Bill

On Beyond the Gates, Bill Hamilton is used to surprises, whether they are good or bad, but he got a double dose on Monday, April 14th, 2025. One from his daughter and one from his wife.

Surprise, surprise on Beyond the Gates

It was a day for surprises on Beyond the Gates today. Eva (Ambyr Michelle) surprised Kat (Colby Muhammed) at her Birthday party, Dani (Karla Mosley) surprised everyone by turning up to the party. Leslie (Trisha Mann Grant) managed to surprise Eva with an early birthday party, Ted (Maurice Johnson) surprised Eva by telling her she was a part of their family anytime, Vernon (Clifton Davis) surprised Dani by showing up at her house just when she needed a shoulder to cry on and some fatherly advice.

The biggest surprises of the day were both received by Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durett) however. Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) walked into Bill's office, ready to read the riot act to Bill about delaying court proceedings and that she sees through his act. Bill was ready for this however and told Naomi that he wasn't delaying things, he was allowed to book out time for Doctor's visits. Naomi then caught up with her husband, feeling conflicted about the case against her fathers firm. After discussing with Jacob (Jibre Hordges) she returned to Bill's office and handed him the paperwork stating she was removing herself as counsel for the three women suing his firm. Bill didn't look as happy as he took the paperwork or the news. Bill looked jaw dropped.

On the back of Naomi's surprise, Bill had a visit from his wife Hayley (Marquita Goings) . Surely this was going to be a nice reprieve from the stresses of managing a law firm. Sorry Bill, this was going to be a doozy. Bill was smiling telling Hayley that he finally felt like he could be on the path to getting his daughters back, every time Naomi sounded concerned for him felt like a hug he said, and Chelsea had come around to see him the other day for the first time in a while. Hayley looked concerned and said he could be about to lose his daughters forever. Jeez Hayley, you could have led with something softer or I don't know, less fatalistic? Hayley explained that she was late, that kind of late. She explained that she almost never missed her morning pill, to which Bill exclaimed…”ALMOST??”

Hayley said that she might be pregnant, Bill was horrified, and told her that was not the plan, the plan was to be able to travel and at the drop of a hat, to be able to make love in any room in any house without worrying about a child coming in. His face said it all, not a happy man.

If people were already speculating how quick Hayley would end up pregnant to make sure Bill stayed by her will have plenty of new ammunition if this is true. The gossip wheel will spin out of control. After Bill calmed some, Bill asked Hayley if she wanted to be a mother. Hayley wasn't sure if she should say what she felt or what she thought Bill wanted to hear. Bill mused what if they are the same thing? Suddenly Bill is considering the idea? Hayley said she didn't want a lot of things before she met Bill and if they had a boy it would be something new for both of them. At the thought of having a boy Bill's face slightly smiled, could this mean Bill would be ok with having a newborn around the house?

It may all be for nought, as Hayley is just late, it might be nothing. Beyond the Gates has thrown so much at us in a short space of time so anything is possible.
