What happened in Would You Marry Me episodes 1-2: A quick recap

The first episode of Would You Marry Me introduces Yoo Me-ri as a designer trying to earn as much money as possible for her upcoming wedding event. Her fiancé, Kim Woo-joo, seems to be quite busy with his work, as Me-ri is left managing everything for the ceremony.

However, Me-ri's life takes the most unexpected turn when she learns that Woo-joo has been cheating on her with a woman named Jenny and that he even brought her to the newly purchased apartment. This breaks her down while Woo-joo accepts the divorce and goes for a trip with Jenny.

Me-ri is left heartbroken, and her pain intensifies when he finds out that the real estate company has scammed her. The police ask Me-ri to leave her house soon, and these setbacks force her to drink.

While on her way back home, Me-ri gets slightly hit by a car, and the man who offers her help is named Kim Woo-joo. Me-ri misunderstood him as her ex and beat Woo-joo up and demanded compensation.

As the chaos continued, Me-ri ended up falling on a cactus plant, and Woo-joo took her to the hospital. Later, she apologizes to him, and Woo-joo then drops her off at her house.

The next day, Me-ri learns that she has won a luxurious house in a lottery, but will only be able to claim it if her husband accompanies her with proof of the marriage. Initially, Woo-joo refuses to help Me-ri, but by the end of episode 2 of Would You Marry Me, he agrees.
