Wolf King to return for a final Season 2, details explored

Attention Wolf King fans, Netflix has good and bad news. The coming-of-age animated series by Lime Pictures has been renewed for a second season. However, the upcoming season will also be the final season of the show, and fans won't see any further seasons in the foreseeable future.

Wolf King is adapted from Curtis Jobling's Werewolf books, and the first season was released on Netflix after much discussion back in March this year. The show received an incredibly positive response from fans, who have since been asking about the second season of the show. Now, Netflix has finally announced that the animated series has been renewed for a second season.

Wolf King Season 2 is set to release on September 11, 2025, according to multiple sources, and will be available to stream on Netflix.

Wolf King Season 2 will follow Drew's journey as he fights for his throne

Wolf King is an animated depiction of the story of Drew Ferran (voiced by Ceallach Spellman). The plot follows Ferran as he realizes that he is the last of a long-standing line of Werewolves, and, much to his reluctance, happens to be the rightful ruler as well. After this discovery, Drew has to take back the throne from the Lionlords, and to do so, he must fight off King Leopold (voiced by Ralph Ineson) and Prince Lucas (voiced by Tom Rhys Harries).

In the second season, fans follow Ferran as he continues to fight for the throne, and he discovers the many burdens of being a king, including fighting off multiple enemies and the heavy burden of attempting to find a queen for himself.

Season 2 of Wolf King will see several returning cast members as well as new faces, including the likes of Paterson Joseph, David Dawson, Kate Fleetwood, and Peter Serafinowicz, among others.

From Jellyfish Pictures, Tom Brass dons the director's hat for Wolf King, while Angelo Abela, Tim Compton, the author of the original series, Curtis Jobling, and Barry Quinn represent Lime Pictures as producers of the show.

While it is disappointing that Season 2 will be the final season for Wolf King, the trailer has seemed promising, and fans have high expectations for the upcoming season.
