The fourth season of Will Trent premiered on ABC yesterday. The first two episodes are available today on Hulu for Disney+ subscribers. The new season returned with gripping drama five months after the GBI attack.
The episode titled 'Speaking of Sharks' followed Will as he struggled with the pressure and anger of a new family life with his biological father, Sheriff Caleb.
James Ulster's prison escape brought a sinister twist. Will killed his mother. His environment was once again filled with anxiety and danger due to independence. Angie got engaged to Seth and became pregnant.

Will Trent faced his worst fear when James Ulster escaped from prison after convincing fellow inmate Reid Hobbs to help him. Once outside, Ulster grew more ruthless and desperate. He fooled Reid into believing that he was his father, and due to this, Reid killed a prison guard to help him get free.
He murdered a former client and then wiped out everyone inside a crowded city steakhouse. Later, he called Will to taunt him about his freedom. Will understood that Ulster wanted a chase. The killer kept pressing Will about the anger he tried to hide. Trent felt the chilling control Ulster still held over him, even though they were far apart.
Can Will save his nephew Calvin?
Will Trent tried hard to build a real bond with Calvin, his shark-loving nephew. He finally had a family and felt a new sense of happiness with his father, Caleb, and his relatives. When Ulster realized how crucial the boy was to Will, Calvin became the target. Ulster captured the boy in a park to force Will to come close.
Will consented to surrender himself to save the child, knowing how hazardous Ulster was. The episode made clear how much Will loved his new family. He knew that true love demands sacrifice. He proved that his heart was stronger than fear by prioritizing Calvin's safety above all else.
Ending Explained: The Burnt Car mystery
When Amada, Faith, and Caleb discovered a torched automobile containing two male victims, Will Trent's life took a terrible turn. He appeared to have perished in the fire since his tape recorder was present. Authorities thought Ulster was responsible for Will's death in an explosion.
This episode showed that Ulster staged the scene to fool everyone. It set up the next chapter with smart suspense. Ramon Rodriguez seemed to be gone from the story.
