Tulsa King Season 3 is shaping up to be the show's darkest chapter yet, and fans are wondering if Bill Bevilaqua will actually stand beside Dwight Manfredi or turn against him.

While the ending of Season 2 made it look like the two men were forced into some sort of alliance, fans know better than to trust Bevilaqua's motives. Could this uneasy partnership hold, or will it explode before it even begins?

Bill Bevilaqua’s bloody move and what it means for Dwight in Tulsa King Season 3

The end of Season 2 changed everything. Bill Bevilaqua shot Chickie Invernizzi in cold blood, then walked straight into Dwight's world with an offer: a 50/50 split. It was shocking not just because of the betrayal, but because Dwight accepted. For a man like Bevilaqua, though, partnerships are never built on trust.

Earlier in the season, he had openly admitted that he'd kill Dwight the moment he stopped being a good earner. That one line alone makes any truce between them look fragile.

The situation gets even trickier with the cliffhanger. Dwight was kidnapped from his bed by men who threw a bag over his head and told him;

"You work for us now."

Whether this group of people is government-backed or another powerful crime family, Bevilaqua will not like competing with yet another hand in Dwight's empire. That could push him either closer to Dwight, out of necessity, or further against him for Tulsa King Season 3.

Sylvester Stallone himself teased fans with a playful but telling Instagram video from set, standing next to Frank Grillo. He said,

"We're about to do something a little devious in the name of commerce. It's not like we're thieves, right? We're actually trying to retrieve what belongs to us. I have a feeling it's going to go sideways."

Grillo responded with;

"I think everything goes sideways eventually...So the plan shouldn't go in a circle, it should go sideways."

That exchange hints at chaos more than loyalty, and Bevilaqua's role in it is still up in the air.

Partnership or powder keg?

As much as Dwight and Bevilaqua despise each other, Tulsa King Season 3 could force them into fighting side by side. Garrett Hedlund, who plays Mitch Keller, told USA Today that the tension between the two men is "the spine of the whole season," explaining that;

"Sometimes to take over the whole world, two kings have to come together."

That doesn't mean peace, though. It means survival.

The stakes are also much higher now. According to the official logline for Tulsa King Season 3, Dwight will face a powerful old-money family, the Dunmires, who

"don't play by old-world rules."

If that's the case, Bevilaqua could see value in sticking with Dwight or at least until the dust settles. But Bevilaqua is not someone known for loyalty. He already demonstrated his ability to take down a fellow mob boss easily. If Dwight starts gaining more power through new alliances, it's hard to imagine Bevilaqua sitting back quietly.

Even the first glimpses of Tulsa King Season 3 suggest that the duo are thrown into situations where they have to cooperate, including what looks like Dwight interrogating Bevilaqua.

That's the dynamic of two enemies stuck in the same boat. As Hedlund put it, Season 3 is the show's "darkest season yet," and killers are at every turn. That leaves little room for trust, especially between men like Dwight and Bevilaqua.

So, will Bill Bevilaqua be on Dwight's side in Tulsa King Season 3? The short answer is: only if it benefits him. Every teaser so far points to an uneasy alliance, one that could collapse the moment Dwight stops being useful.

Bevilaqua's history of betrayal makes him unpredictable. In a season promising to be bloodier and darker than ever, their 'so called partnership' might be more of a ticking time bomb.
