Why did Love Island USA's Cierra save Taylor after he disrespected her best friend Olandria?

Olandria and Cierra have been best friends since day one when the latter walked in as a bombshell on Love Island USA. However, the recent elimination from the show might have caused a rift between the two.

In a previous challenge called "Stand on Business," the islanders were required to write their true feelings on a postcard for each other, and the ones who got it would read them out in front of everybody.

Taylor got a postcard from his ex, Olandria, in which she expressed how much he had hurt her by turning away from what they had, for Clarke, who had just been in the villa for three days max.

When Taylor tried to reply, Olandria got further aggravated and told her true feelings in front of everyone and said she had been hurt and angry all this time. At the end, one of the postcards asks him to make a final decision between the two women, and he chose Clarke.

This hurt Olandria even more, who had thought that there was still a connection between the two. However, she claimed that this was the closure she needed to move on and finally explore some new connections.

Recently, Ariana Madix graced the Love Island USA villa and announced an elimination. This was based on the least amount of votes that an islander has received from America voting for them.

Three girls and three boys were up for elimination. The safe islanders were responsible for choosing who among them all would stay by standing behind the one they wanted to save. The ones on the chopping block were Jaden, Gracyn, Andreina, Austin, Taylor and TJ.

Olandria stood behind Austin while the others also took their stand. The last one to choose was Cierra who ultimately stood behind Taylor in an attempt to save him. This shocked Olandria who had not thought Cierra would make such a move.

Olandria, after the dumping was done on Love Island USA, was equally curious as to why Cierra would support Taylor during the dumping, even though he already had the majority of the votes and was going to be saved despite her standing behind him. She has been a friend to Iris as well and she could have stood behind TJ to show solidarity, however, did not.

Olandria, in episode 28, questioned this move and wondered why Cierra stands behind Taylor, especially when she is her friend. Later, when Cierra joined her in the vanity room, she gave her two reasons.

The first reason was that her decision was heavily influenced by Nic standing behind Taylor. The two have recently closed off their relationship on Love Island USA, and it could be a way to show her man some support.

The second reason that Cierra had was that she felt like Olandria would not have wanted Taylor to go home. However, fans argued that if this was the case, Olandria could have stood behind Taylor herself.
