Why did Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star Angelina call her ex-husband Chris?

It's costume time on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, and the cast is getting ready with their costumes. However, Angelina is testing new waters once again. While she is in her hotel room, viewers see that she has called her ex-husband Chris to express her frustrations about what is going on around her.

The two got married in 2019 and were together till their divorce in early 2024. Since then, the former couple had been through a lot of ups and downs with fights between them all the time. At one point, Angelina revealed how Chris had moved out and is living with his mother. This happened right after Christmas. She said,

"Chris leaving and taking down his stocking, ripping up his ‘Merry Christmas to my wife’ card, he wanted to see that card ripped up. He wanted to see that stocking gone. Chris wanted me to see all of his clothes gone. For him to do that to me over a fight is just not fair."

Next thing she knew, their marriage was in hot water, and Jersey Shore: Family Vacation viewers saw glimpses of it through Angelina's point of view on the show.

She said she wanted to go to therapy to try and make her marriage work with Chris; however, he was not on board with the same.

Later, he blocked all her contacts, and thus, she had to hire a lawyer to talk to him. But by the end of their journey, it was too much for her, and thus Angelina filed for divorce.

Jersey Shore: Family Vacation - What happened when Angelina called Chris?

In the most recent Jersey Shore: Family Vacation episode, fans see Angelina calling Chris on her phone, and it has been a considerable while since they have talked.

Her reasoning behind the same was that they had been through a lot together during their marriage. However, she says she is over all of it right now and thus decided to give him a call. She added that Chris is in the same city as her.

However, when she calls him, he picks up, hears her voice, and hangs up immediately.

Angelina then calls Jenni and tells her the whole situation. The latter comes over in her costume and questions Angelina's decision to call Chris, and feels like she could have avoided that, even though he was in the same city as her.

In her confessional on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Jenni says that the entire group understands how Angelina is going through a lot right now, and her dog Peanut is also sick, and thus, she had a lapse in judgment.

Later on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, it was revealed that Peanut, Angelina's dog, has passed away. Snooki and Lisa are worried for her because her pet was like a child to her. Writing on her Instagram, Angelina said,

"I miss you so much my baby peanut 🥜. It’s not getting easier. I am trying to stay strong for us down here on earth. I hope you are watching over us and protecting us from evil 😢. The babies and I miss you and your sassy self everyday. The house feels empty without you here. I miss your tall ears and your big eyes waiting for me when I woke up each day. I have your ashes and I kiss your urn each morning and night ❤🙏."
