Free Bert is setting itself up to be one of Netflix's most talked about upcoming comedies.

With comedian Bert Kreischer taking the wheel for the lead, Netflix is already clinging onto attention for its premise. But it's the new names on the cast list that are now turning heads for the audience.

So, who are the latest cast members? Chris Witaske, Christine Horn, and Sophia Reid-Gantzert are stepping in and are adding depth and diversity to the quirky show.

Let's break down what we know about the Netflix comedy and its castings so far.

Meet the newest additions shaking up Free Bert

As Free Bert gets ready for production, three actors have been added to the ensemble.

First up is Chris Witaske, known for role in The Bear and for his work in The Wrong Missy. His strong comedy background makes him a perfect fit for a show that falls into the category of outrageous family drama and chaotic humor. Even though his role is being kept under wraps for now, his involvement definitely hints at serious comic energy.

Joining him is Christine Horn, an actress who has built a versatile portfolio with performances in Fool's Paradise and The Way Back. Her ability to move between intense drama and sharp comedy will likely give Free Bert some extra emotional weight.

And then there's Sophia Reid-Gantzert, a younger talent who's already proven herself with her role in Death and Other Details. With this mix cast, the show promises to bring plenty of character and surprise.

Behind the camera and around the family: More names to know

Along with Bert Kreischer, Free Bert includes a team of co-creators and executive producers, including Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul, who are also writing and directing the series.

Kreischer's wife, LeeAnn, joins the production team too, and Arden Myrin has been cast to play her on screen. Myrin brings a long resume with her, including roles in Shameless and The Righteous Gemstones.

Ava Ryan and Lilou Lang are set to play Bert's daughters, Georgia and lla. While Ryan has appeared on Yo Gabba Gabbaland, Lang will be making her acting debut with Free Bert.

Also joining in a recurring role is Mandell Maughan, who fans may recognize from Resident Alien and Grace and Frankie. This lineup supports the story of Kreischer's over the top comedian character who tries to fit into the polished world of Beverly Hills' elite after his daughters get into a top-tier private school.

According to Production Weekly, production is set to begin in July 2025 and run through mid August. Though there's no release date yet, the show is expected to hit Netflix in early 2026.

Free Bert has a cast lineup that is filled with promise, with Chris Witaske, Christine Horn, and Sophia Reid-Gantzert bringing comic energy to the new Netflix series. With production about to start up and more details surfacing, this Netflix comedy is shaping up to be one worth keeping on your radar.
