Wednesday Season 2 has the same dark tone and sense of dread and Wednesday has to solve another mystery as her visions indicate that her friend Enid is going to be the next victim in a series of murders that are happening in her town. All clues point towards someone called Lois at the Willow Hill Psychiatric Center.

Wednesday decides to take the help of her uncle Fester, who performs bizarre antics to get admitted into the psychiatric facility. Once Fester is inside, however, he is discovered and captured before he can find Lois. Wednesday has to save her uncle and when she frees him, she finds out that Lois is not a person.

In a twist that has got the viewers curious and made Wednesday Season 2 even more popular, Lois turns out to be an acronym for a secret program called Longterm Outcast Integration Study (LOIS). The program’s lab is in the basement of Willow Hill and Wednesday and Fester find several outcasts there who are imprisoned. Their deaths were faked and they were unfortunately used for experiments so that their powers were transferred to a regular person.

Therefore, Lois plays an important role in Season 2 and it is through the discovery of Lois that Wednesday is able to get close to the killer who is responsible for the murders in the town, as the person behind the program is also the murderer.

When Lois is exposed, Wednesday is finally confronted by the hooded killer, who removes their mask and turns out to be Judi, the bubbly assistant of Dr. Fairburn, the main psychiatrist at Willow Hill.

It is revealed that Judi’s father was Augustus Stonehearst, who was the creator of Lois and therefore, Judi wants to continue her father’s legacy and get more people for her illegal experiments.
