The first episode of Matlock Season 2 arrives on CBS on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 8:30 PM ET. However, only the premiere is set for Sunday, and the season will later shift to its usual Thursday slot. On October 16, 2025, the second episode of the season will be aired at 9 PM ET.
The show will then continue to air new episodes weekly on Thursdays at 9 PM. While the total number of episodes has not been announced yet, it is expected to be longer than the first installment, which featured 19 episodes.
A day after their television release, new episodes of the show are made available on Paramount+. Hence, the Matlock Season 2 premiere will begin streaming on Paramount+ on October 13, 2025. What to expect from the Matlock Season 2 premiere?

The new season brings back Kathy Bates as Madeline "Matty" Matlock, Skye P. Marshall as Olympia Lawrence, Jason Ritter as Julian Markston, Leah Lewis as Sarah Franklin, Aaron Harris as Alfie Kingston, and Sam Anderson as Edwin Kingston. David Del Rio, who played Billy, was recently fired from the show due to a harassment case, and hence, might only appear in a few episodes.
