Every month, Hulu adds new TV series and new seasons of existing shows to its ever-expanding digital library, while some of the shows leave the platform. September is also not an exception to the rule, and Hulu has announced what to expect from their lineup in the coming weeks.
This month, Ryan Murphy is coming to the platform with two of his new projects, which has generated a lot of excitement among the audience, owing to the immense popularity of Murphy's previous trysts with anthology series like American Horror Story, American Crime Story, and Feud.

1) American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez
Plot: Based on the popular podcast, Gladiator: Aaron Hernandez and Football Inc. from The Boston Globe and Wondery, the debut season of the FX limited series traces the tumultuous journey of NFL legend Aaron Hernandez.
Created by Stuart Zicherman and told from various perspectives, this 10-episode anthology series deals with diverse aspects of Hernandez's family, his identity, his career leading up to his suicide, and his lasting legacy in American sports.
American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez will start streaming on September 18.

2) Grotesquerie
Plot: Another series with Ryan Murphy's name attached to it, this time as a writer and co-creator, this 10-episode horror-drama series deals with a series of grotesque crimes that have rattled a small-town community.
Detective Lois Tryon has a hunch that the crimes are uncannily personal and something is mocking her inability to solve the case. Tryon's personal life is riddled with psychological issues and a troubled relationship with her daughter, while her husband is admitted to a long-term care facility.
As the case becomes harder to solve with no leads, she teams up with Sister Megan, a journalist and Catholic nun. Together, they get tangled in a complex and dangerous web, uncovering more questions and few answers. The show will premiere on September 25.

Plot: Featuring the viral #MomTok influencers, this Hulu original reality series deals with Mormon wives and social media celebrities who get embroiled in a sex scandal that gets blown out of proportion around the globe.
The scandal has shaken their sisterhood and challenged their friendship, popularity, and faith. The show follows the Mormon wives as they navigate this scandal, exploring whether they can survive by defying the rules or if they will fall from grace.
Secret Lives of Mormon Wives premieres on September 6.

4) In Vogue: The 90s
The six-part Hulu original docuseries depicts the '90s fashion industry through the perspective of Vogue editors Edward Enninful, Hamish Bowles, Anna Wintour, and Tonne Goodman.
With insights and commentaries from stalwarts from film, fashion, and politics, this series documents the ten years through different noteworthy and uniquely '90s phenomena, including the Met Gala, Grunge, Hollywood, Globalized American Fashion, and Hip Hop.
The series is going to debut on 13th September.

5) Tell Me Lies season 2
Plot: The much-anticipated second season of the romantic drama Tell Me Lies is coming back on September 4. Adapted from a 2018 novel by Carola Lovering, the show revolves around the unstable and passionate relationship between Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco that spans over eight years.
Starting from their first meeting at the fictional Baird College in New York in 2007, the show explores a toxic romantic entanglement that leads to heartbreak in season 1.
The second season promises to explore the impact of their relationship on their friends, expanding on the source novel with new characters and introducing intriguing plot points.

6) The Old Man season 2
Plot: The acclaimed espionage series The Old Man, created by Jonathan E. Steinberg and Robert Levine and starring Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow, returns for its second season on September 12.
Based on Thomas Perry's thriller novel, the season 1 finale left many questions unanswered, creating anticipation for the new season. The finale revealed that Angela/Emily's real father is former Afghan rebel leader Faraz Hamzad.
This twist complicates the relationship between ex-CIA operative Dan Chase, his former associate Harold Harper, and Faraz. While they were once supportive in Afghanistan, Dan's love affair with Faraz's wife leads to them eloping to the U.S. with Faraz's infant daughter.
