Love is Blind star Marissa George recently shared details regarding her failed relationship with her former fiance, Ramses Prashad. In her interview with Glamour, published on October 23, 2024, the lawyer opened up about various things that have happened between the duo.
Fans must remember how Ramses broke things off with Marissa, as featured in the social experiment's final episode. Among the couples who got engaged on Love is Blind Season 7, both Ramses and Marissa were set for the big day on the show.
However, after Ramses shared his doubts about moving forward, he called things off, and the couple was no longer on their way to getting married.
Sharing more about what happened between them, Marissa, in her Zoom interview, shared,
"I remember looking at him and thinking, 'This is somehow going to f*** us up.' That was probably the only time I thought this might not work out."
Love is Blind Season 7: Marissa opens up about what happened on the social experiment
Love is Blind aired its final episode on October 23, 2024. During the final phase of the social experiment, three engaged couples—Ashley-Tyler, Taylor-Garrett, and Marissa-Ramses—were about to get married.
While the other two couples advanced further with their wedding ceremonies, Marissa and Ramses did not. Ramses shared how he felt that he might be "making a mistake" by getting married again. Shocked by his decision, Marissa could be seen getting emotional and, later on, sobbing.
In her recent interview with Glamour, Marissa, 32, revealed,
"Looking back a year later, where I'm in a different headspace, I was trying to make a lot of concessions. I wanted to be with him, and I wanted it to work so bad that I was willing to be like, 'Okay, you're making me feel bad about my career, but we can get past that.' And now I’m like, Dude, no."
The female cast member also revealed they were a "very physical couple." She shared how the duo used to be involved in various physical activities, starting from sexual manners to touching.
Referring to the day Ramses shared his doubts about moving forward, she said that they didn't have any usual such activities, so it felt a "little weird."
"I have an autoimmune disease. I have rheumatoid arthritis, so I tend to get sick, and my body hurts, and I don't want to be touched. And there's been a few times before that where he's petting me, and I'm overstimulated. I have ADHD," shared Marissa.
Love is Blind star also shared how Ramses seemed to have "moral superiority" about specific topics such as s**, politics, and the military, as fans might have noticed during the show.
"It's like, 'Okay, I don't have a degree, I don't have this, I don't have that, but I am more progressive than you, and I care more about the world than you, so therefore, I'm gonna say it in small ways to make you feel that way,'" shared Marissa.
After watching the show, she also admitted that Ramses was not "as feminist as he thinks " and could be much more "selfish" than he realized.
"I just don't think he realizes how he comes across. He's like, 'I hear what you're saying, but I don't really care,' because no matter how feminist a man is going to be, he's still going to have a blind spot because he's a man at the end of the day."
Later in the interview, the Love is Blind star opened up about getting therapy and having an "interesting" relationship with her mother.
Marissa shared how her mother was 17 or 18 when she had her, and because of that, her mother tried to "mold her" so that she would not fall for the "same path as her." She admitted to having "a lot of people-pleasing" tendencies, which might be from the same.
