Of all the character-driven shows by Marvel Studios, Loki on Disney+ has always been a fan favorite. Based on the God of Mischief's attempts to protect the timeline from potential threats, the character has made a special place in everyone's heart.
Marvel's attempts to expand the MCU through dedicated shows featuring various underappreciated characters have been a treat to fans. Wanda Maximoff, Vision, Agatha Harkness, Bucky Barnes, Sam Wilson, Loki, Hawkeye, and Nick Fury have all benefited from this effort and have had a chance to shine.
Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, who reprised his role in the show, premiered on June 9, 2021, on Disney+. The first season was a success, and it was revived for a second, which was released on October 5, 2023.

Details of Loki Season 2 physical release
Season 2 picks up right after the events of the Season 1 finale, where Loki is in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with a team consisting of Mobius, Hunter B-15, and other returning characters, a frantic search for Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, and Miss Minutes ensues.
The show also explores the nature of free will and what it means to have a glorious responsibility, which the God of Trickery is expected to fulfill on the show.
While the show is not expected to return, Hiddleston will reportedly reprise the role for the upcoming movies, Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Before that, there is news about the show getting a physical release from Marvel Studios. Season 2 will be released on 4K UHD Blu-Ray on December 3, 2024.
It will be available in a special collector's Steelbook packaging featuring Dolby Vision + Atmos and exclusive art cards designed by Attila Szarka. Fans of the show who are avid collectors of Disney+ shows will also get bonus content with the set.
Does Loki Season 2 physical release have bonus features?
Apart from the entirety of Season 2, the set is also said to have some bonus features, which are as follows-
1. Through Time—The character's journey over a decade with Kevin Feige and Tom Hiddleston, and how it has created a special place in people's hearts.
2. Gag Reel- An exclusive behind-the-scenes of the show's making featuring the complete crew and cast.
3. Deleted/Extended scenes—Extended cuts of various seasons that are not available in the show. This might include Loki and Mobius sharing a pie in the TVA lunchroom, Loki listing the names of all the people who have spoken ill about him, and Sylvie, at the end of time, finding herself at a McDonald’s in 1982.
4. Making of Season 2- A segment where the cast pulls back the curtain and discusses the intricacies of making of Season 2.
Apart from Loki Season 2, Hawkeye Season 1 will also have a physical release on December 3, 2024.
