Trauma and trust issues take center stage in Watson Episode 9

As the episode progresses, John also learns about Ingrid's past actions. He isn't just disappointed by how Ingrid has been lying to the team but also because of the ethical lines she has crossed.
To Ingrid, it felt right to experiment on Gigi since she just wanted her sister to recover. However, from a doctor's point of view Ingrid went too far. John is shocked to learn how she has been giving Gigi different muscle relaxants like succinylcholine and now she is even more "vulnerable" than before.
Ingrid then explains the situation to Gigi, but she supports her sister as all she was doing was trying to help Gigi achieve her dream. However, now Gigi's health has deteriorated and with Ingrid's secret out, the doctor will have to face the repercussions of it.
The flashback scenes also disclose that the sisters have endured trauma due to their abusive father. This again became a reason for Ingrid to keep fighting for Gigi, even if it required crossing the line.
Meanwhile, other characters like Dr. Sasha Lubbock and Dr. Stephens Croft hint at a romantic relationship gradually building between them. Later, Ingrid confronts Mary about the past as she wasn't able to cure Gigi's paralysis.
Their intense conversation ends with Mary informing Ingird that she only has two months to find a job. When Ingrid says she's not looking for another position, Mary responds by saying:
"If you don't find another job within two monthsf, if you're not gone from UHOP forever, then you're fired. I've never forget that night. And I never will. But you can't be around here anymore."
Later, Watson also tells Ingrid that he cannot help or trust her anymore.
