Too Much Season 1: Release date news, cast details, streaming details and more about the upcoming Netflix comedy series

Lena Dunham is back with Too Much on Netflix, with Megan Stalter leading the romantic-comedy series. The show is slated to premiere on the streaming platform on July 10, 2025. Too Much Season 1 revolves around New Yorker Jessica (played by Stalter) who is recovering from a breakup and goes to London for a fresh start. After she meets musician Felix (played by Will Sharpe), things take a surprising turn for her.

Stalter, known for Hack and Sharpe, known for The White Lotus, are the lead actors in the series. The romantic British comedy series will comprise of 10 episodes. Dunham had taken a break after her trailblazing series Girls ended in 2017. Dunham and her husband Luis Felber have created the upcoming show. As per Tudum by Netflix, Lena Dunham shared:

“This is a show that is very close to my heart, created with my husband Luis, cast with my favorite actors, the geniuses that are Meg and Will, along with a bevy of friends, and partnering again with Working Title, who are behind the romantic comedies that formed me…Netflix has been so deeply supportive of the vision, which is to create a romantic comedy that makes us root for love, brings joy but also has the jagged edges of life.”

Too Much Season 1: Release and Streaming Details

Too Much will release on Netflix on July 10, 2025. Season 1 of the series will comprise of 10 episodes.

The comedy series is exclusively available on the streaming platform Netflix. Viewers can get the Standard package with advertisements at $7.99 per month. For $17.99 per month and additional $ 6.99 for an extra member. For Premium package, it is $ 24.99 per month with $6.99 each for 2 extra members.

Too Much has a star-studded cast with Stalter and Sharpe leading the ensemble. The other cast members for Season 1 includes Andrew Rannells, Andrew Scott, Michael Zegen, Dean-Charles Chapman, Emily Ratajkowski, Janicza Bravo, Jennifer Saunders, Jessica Alba, Kaori Momoi, Kit Harington, Rhea Perlman, Richard E. Grant, Rita Ora, Rita Wilson and Stephen Fry among others.


About Netflix’s Too Much Season 1

Jessica is in her 30s and is overcoming a difficult breakup. She is engrossed in work, trying to move past the emotional distress. Being in New York was getting difficult and so, she decides to move to London to get a new start. But fate has other plans. She meets Felix, and everything changes. Felix is unlike any romantic hero she could have ever imagined.

Their relationship blossoms with its own complex challenges. From awkward encounters to a whirlwind romance, Jessica and Felix’s connection is the foundation of the series.

The music for the series is created by Felber’s band Attawalpa. Both him and Dunham are also executive producers on the show along with Bruce Eric Kaplan, Eric Fellner, Michael P. Cohen, Surian Fletcher-Jones and Tim Bevan.

The logline for the series states:

“When a heartbroken New Yorker moves to London hoping for a love story, she falls for an indie musician who’s anything but the typical romantic hero.”
