The Righteous Gemstones Season 4 Episode 6 aired recently on HBO.

The latest episode of The Righteous Gemstones was titled Interlude IV and, in keeping with the tradition established by the preceding seasons, served as an interlude before the show and season's finale. The Righteous Gemstones seems to have perfected the idea of using the past to determine the plot of the present timeline, and this is where Interlude IV came in brilliantly.

Here's everything that we know about the latest episode.

What happened on The Righteous Gemstones Season 4 Episode 6?

At the beginning of the latest episode of The Righteous Gemstones, Aimee-Leigh and Eli are seen trying their best to persuade their community to spend on a ten-acre parking lot. This proposal doesn't go down too kindly with the other members of the community, and one of them even goes to the extent of accusing the Gemstones of having bought the council members. The two members of the Gemstone family get pies thrown on their faces by the public, who are still resentful of the conversion of their church into a mini-mall by the family.

On the other hand, the alligator farmer Cobb is reluctant to pray at the Gemstone church and isn't too fond of them altogether. This causes a rift between Cobb and his wife, as Aimee-Leigh tries her best to intervene and sort the issue out. Things come to an end with the physical altercation between a drunk Cobb and Eli. By the end of the episode, Eli has his golden Bible stolen, and Kelvin blames his choices. The episode also shed light on Corey's character.

Edi Patterson speaks about the latest season of the HBO show

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Decider magazine, actor Edi Patterson opened up about the show and his character. When asked to speak about the significance of the fourth and last season, Patterson remarked:

"Yeah, we sort of go in, even with the writing of it, feeling like we never know when it’s the end of it, but we’ve tried to sort of wrap up each season with a bow and sort of make it a complete story. I think that was the approach. Yeah, there might’ve been a tiny bit of a vibe toward the end of filming where we all kind of felt like, “Is this it?” But yeah, we kind of didn’t talk about it until after."

Patterson was then asked about his favorite episode, to which he answered:

"I also love Episode 4. I’ve always been a sucker for that type of episode or that type of movie where it’s like, they’re all in one place and they’re either just hanging out or crazy things are happening. I love an all-in-one-place type vibe. I love Episode 4. I’m excited for people to see that crazy scene with me and Megan Mullally."

The Righteous Gemstones is exclusively available on HBO.
