Britt Rescigno shares her thoughts on the randomizer

Fans of the Food Network show must be aware of the randomizer featured on the Tournament of Champions. It randomly chooses what kind of protein, produce, equipment, style, and more the contestants would be using for the current episode.

For example, as Guy Fieri revealed from the randomizer, participants Joe Sasto and Lee Ane Wong were given the combination of Duck breasts, white eggplant, bamboo steamer, fresh and fried, and umeboshi.

Reflecting on the fierce competition in the latest Tournament of Champions episode, chef Britt Rescigno stated:

"The Randomizer was not nice to us this round."

In this episode, for Britt Rescigno and Kaleena Bliss, the randomizer asked the duo to prepare a 'fruity and nutty' dish using longganisa - Filipino pork sausage, beef oyster steaks, and avocado, and they also had to use a pizzelle press in their cooking process.

Rescigno, however, wasn't fazed. During the episode, Britt shared with the cameras:

"This is the whole new Chef Britt: getting married, my first restaurant. This is a lot of new things and exciting things happening, and I have space for one more thing and that’s 'TOC' champ."

After beating Chicago's executive chef Kaleena, Britt made it to the Top 4. For fans who might not be aware, this latest season is Rescigno's third time appearing in the show's final rounds.

The competition's previous season saw Britt lose to Maneet Chauhan. Before that, she won against chefs including Jonathan Sawyer (James Beard Award winner), March Murphy (from Chopped), and Amanda Freitag (James Beard Award winner).

In season 5, Rescigno was pitted against Tiffani Faison, whom she defeated, before losing to Maneet Chauhan, winner of season 5 of Tournament of Champions.
