The 2024 Emmy Awards took place on September 15, 2024, and honored The Bear with every Deserving accolade. The series lost the Best Comedy Series to Jean Smart's Hacks, another acclaimed TV series known for its unique story.

As expected, White took the outstanding lead actor in a comedy series for a second consecutive year, thanking his entire team for making this happen. The actor also mentioned his adorable daughters enjoying his win at home.

During his acceptance speech, White mentioned everyone who contributed to the win and said:

"I'm so, so, so lucky. I'm so grateful, thank you... This show has changed my life. It has instilled a faith that change is possible."

The other nominees for this award included Matt Berry, Larry David, Martin Short, Steve Martin, and D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai. White has worked in several famous TV shows and films, including The Iron Claw alongside fan-favorite actor Zac Effron.

Ebon Moss-Bachrach has been playing Richard “Richie” Jerimovich since The Bear Season 1, and similar to White, he also received the second consecutive nomination and win. The winner was announced by pop icon Selena Gomez, and the actor was accompanied by his partner at the event.

Moss-Bachrach expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the makers of the series and didn't miss the chance to commend his cast members. He also thanked his wife and children, for constant support.


3) Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series

Actress Liza Colón-Zayas became the first Latina to earn the Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series at the Emmy Awards. This is also the actress' first Emmy win, which she was doubtful of until her name was announced.

Colón-Zayas plays Tina in The Bear and strong her acceptance speech, she said:

"To all the Latinas who are looking at me, keep believing and vote. Vote for your rights. Thank you"

Liza Colón-Zayas attended the award show with her husband and was cheered throughout her speech. Other nominees for this role include Meryl Streep, Carol Burnett, Hannah Einbinder, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Janelle James.


4) Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series

Winner: Christopher Storer for the episode titled Fishes

Christopher Storer won Best Directing for a Comedy Series for his fine direction of The Bear Season 2, episode 6 titled Fishes. The episode continues the chaos in the restaurant but also includes an impactful storyline.

Storer was nominated among Ramy Youssef, Randall Einhorn, Guy Ritchie, Mary Lou Belli, and Lucia Aniello.
