The Amazing Race season 37 has been full of twists, challenging each contestant with their physical strength during the competition. As viewers already know, in this series, contestants compete in teams of two, racing around the world and decoding clues to reach the final destination.
In the newly released episode, one team was sent home after they couldn't complete the task on time, as the show host revealed a new double vote U-turn twist. The Amazing Race season 37, episode 5, titled It's Not Personal, It's Business was released exclusively on CBS on April 2, 2025. The episode synopsis states:

What happened on The Amazing Race Season 37, Episode 5?
The Amazing Race episode 5 began with show host Phil revealing a major twist in the competition. After the teams that still competed for the winner title and the grand prize made it to their next destination, they were required to cast a vote. Jonathan and Ana, Scott and Lori, Brett and Mark, Nick and Mike, Pops and Jeff, Han & Holden, Melinda & Erika, and Alyssa and Josiah, along with Carson and Jack, reached the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary for the next stage of the competition.
Phil explained that each team had to place a vote out of which the top two votes would be u-turned. When it was time to cast a vote, The Amazing Race teams Brett and Mark, Han and Holden, Melinda and Erika, and Nick and Mike voted for Scott & Lori. Jonathan and Ana, on the other hand, voted for Nick & Mike. Meanwhile, Pops and Jeff, Carson and Jack, Alyssa and Josiah, and Scott and Lori voted for Jonathan & Ana.
The vote results revealed that Scott and Lori, alongside Jonathan and Ana, were U-Turned. For the Detour, the teams had to choose between Coconuts or Coral. Teams who chose Coconuts had to deliver 60 coconuts to cafes within the limited time frame. Meanwhile, the teams who chose Coral had to plant five different corals on the ocean floor. At the Pantai Pandawa, Alyssa and Josiah became the first team to finish the Coconuts Detour.
Scott and Lori were the last ones to reach their destination however, they did manage to make up for their late arrival. Jonathan and Ana attempted to complete their Coral Detour multiple times and realized their patterns were wrong. Fast-forward to the Roadblock at Nusa Dua Beach, Brett and Mark were able to decode their next clue and found out they had to make it to the Pit Stop at the Taksu Art Stage.
The Amazing Race season 37 teammates were the first ones to reach their final destination and received a $10,000 combined prize. Carson and Jack were the second team to reach the Pit Stop in time. The remaining teams began completing the Roadblock and one by one made their way to the Pit Stop. The last team to join the cast members was Scott and Lori.
Scott and Lori were eliminated from The Amazing Race season 37. Contestants still competing on the CBS series include Brett & Mark, Carson & Jack, Alyssa & Josiah, Pops & Jeff, Han & Holden, Melinda & Erika, Nick & Mike, and Jonathan & Ana.
