CBS will air a two-hour-long first episode of Survivor 47 on September 18, 2024. 90-minute episodes will follow the next week onwards.
The show will feature 18 "castaways" who, according to CBS, share the ultimate goal of " outwitting, outplaying, and outlasting " while stranded in the Fiji islands. Contestants from diverse backgrounds will compete for the $1 million prize money.
According to the format of the show, eighteen participants will be divided into three groups, i.e. tribes. Jeff Probst will serve as the executive producer and the host of the show.
Survivor 47: "Castaways" list explored
Teeny Chirichillo
Teeny Chirichillo, 24, is a freelance writer from Manahawkin, New Jersey. Chirichillo wanted to compete in the show since watching it in fifth grade and is quite determined.
Rome Cooney
Rome Cooney, 30, from Corvallis, Ore., resides in Phoenix, Arizona, and is an E-Sports commentator. He describes himself as "Charismatic, cutthroat, and entertaining."
Speaking about participating in Survivor 47, Rome revealed:
"It’s the greatest game you can play in real life, so as a lifelong gamer, this is the ultimate test for me. It’s the best chance I’ll have to win $1 million while leaving a legacy that my future kids will be proud of. I need this game."
Anika Dhar
Anika Dhar, a 26-year-old marketing manager from Santa Rosa, currently resides in Los Angeles, California. She describes herself as "curious, exuberant, and calculated."
Terran “TK” Foster
31-year-old athlete marketing manager Terran "TK" Foster hails from Prince George’s County, Maryland. Residing in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, TK describes himself as "genius, spontaneous, and ambitious."
Tiyana Hallums
Tiyana Hallums, 27, from Aiea, Hawaii is a flight attendant. Her time as a D1 athlete has prepared Tiyana for the competition. She also has experience playing volleyball and sand volleyball since her university days, which she describes as where she learned "key lessons" of her life.
Rachel LaMont
A 34-year-old graphic designer from Southfield, Michigan, Rachel, will also feature on the upcoming Survivor 47. She describes herself as "bubbly, down-to-earth, and determined." She loves people, pushing herself, games, and money.
Jon Lovett
A podcast host from Long Island, New York, Jon Lovett is a 42-year-old Los Angeles resident. He describes Survivor 47 as:
"It’s about deprivation and endurance and puzzles and challenges, but at its root, it’s an experiment in democracy. It ends in a vote, and the players decide what it means to earn that vote. I want to be a part of that experiment."
Genevieve Mushaluk
Genevieve Mushaluk, 33, is a corporate lawyer from Winnipeg, Manitoba. She describes herself as "organized, friendly, and energetic." Genevieve has watched the show since she was a "pre-teen." Since then, she has had "this unlearned sense" of confidence.
Gabe Ortis
Gabe Ortis, 26, is a radio host from Baltimore, MD. He describes himself as "resourceful, blunt, and opportunistic." His favorite hobbies include poker, live sporting events, and snowboarding.
Kyle Ostwald
Kyle Ostwald, 31, is a construction worker from Cheboygan. He describes himself as "creative, ambitious, and fun." He revealed his philosophical side:
"I want to share some of my challenges in life to show others that just because life knocks you down does not mean that you are not worthy of a journey. That happens more than we like, but it’s not about the knockdown."
Kishan Patel
An ER doctor from Fullerton, California, Kishan Patel is a 28-year-old castaway on the upcoming Survivor 47. The doctor resides in San Francisco, California. He describes himself as "adorable, nurturing, and composed."
Sam Phalen
Sam Phalen, 24, is a sports reporter from Schaumburg, Ill, currently residing in Nashville, Tennessee. Being on Survivor was Sam’s "childhood dream," he describes himself as "ambitious, stubborn, and passionate."
Andy Rueda
31-year-old AI research assistant Andy Rueda is from Buffalo, New York, and resides in Brooklyn.
"I don’t think my life makes as much sense if it didn’t include ultimately playing. I am so, so ready to scratch this itch and transition my role in this weird ecosystem from superfan to player," shared Andy.
Sue Smey
Sue Smey, 59, is a flight school owner from Kirkwood, New York. Currently residing in Putnam Valley, NY, Sue describes herself as "Badass, adrenaline junkie and fearless." She wants to be "pushed to" her limits.
Caroline Vidmar
Caroline Vidmar, 27, is a strategy consultant from Chicago. Caroline describes herself as "supportive, enthusiastic and adventurous." Since the age of five, she has dreamed of being on the show and is ready to play "the most epic game."
Aysha Welch
32-year-old IT consultant Aysha Welch hails from DeSoto, Texas, and currently resides in Houston, Texas. She describes herself as "joyful, unique, and an overachiever." Aysha’s mom started watching the show in its debut season, which got her hooked as well.
"I always thought that Survivor was too hard, but I’ve reached the point in my life where I’ve accomplished a lot personally, and I’m ready for my next biggest challenge. Not only is this my dream, but my family’s too," shared Ayesha of Survivor 47.
Sierra Wright
Sierra Wright, 27, is a nurse from Wilmington, Del. She resides in Phoenixville, Pa. She describes herself as "hoot, intuitive and ambitious." Sierra believes she was "born" for the Survivor.
Solomon “Sol” Yi
Solomon "Sol" Yi, 43, works in medical device sales and is originally from Del City, Oklahoma. He currently resides in Norwalk, Connecticut, and describes himself as "lucky, friendly, and witty."
