Surely Tomorrow ends with a heartwarming episode bringing forth the conclusion to the storylines that the previous episodes started. Kyeong-do and J-woo's story is brought to life in a nuanced manner.
There is a touch of realism in the manner in which the final episode of Surely Tomorrow handles the storyline. This series does the happy ending in a proper manner with a bittersweet touch to it.

Love, loss, and a heartwarming turn of events in Ji-woo and Kyeong-do's lives in Surely Tomorrow Episode 12
Episode 12 of Surely Tomorrow starts with Ji-woo working at her office, getting restless at the situation. Staying away from Kyeong-do is not easy for her. She then decides to visit Kyeong-do’s parents’ laundromat to ask them about Kyeong-do. Kyeong-do’s mother thanks Ji-woo for helping them with the laundromat, as she is now aware of the truth.
Kyeong-do, on the other hand, goes to meet Da-hye at the correctional facility. She tells him details about the Didroxin and its connection with Min-woo. It is revealed that Dr. Kim from Bright Plastic Surgery got her the drug. She also heard Dr. Kim talking to Min-woo on the phone about the drugs. So she thought that the person who reported her might be Min-woo, so she tried to threaten her.
She asks Kyeong-do to dig deeper into Min-woo and expose his truth to the world. She also gives the name of the salesman, Gu-han, to Kyeong-do so that he can start the investigation with solid proof. After getting the information from her, Kyeong-do appreciates her acting in The Wind of April, which makes her happy. This starts off Kyeong-do’s strive to expose Min-woo to the world.
He makes a team with three other colleagues, including Bo-ra, and gives them tasks related to the case. As this episode of Surely Tomorrow progresses, Ji-woo also gets a parcel at her office. After she opens it, she finds a beautiful dress inside. Along with the dress, there is also a note.
The dress is from her mother. In the note, she appreciates her for the hard work she is putting in for the company, along with a heartwarming apology for her past actions towards Ji-woo.
The investigation to expose Min-woo continues as Kyeong-do and his whole team work day and night to gather information. Despite not getting sleep, they do not lose their dedication to exposing the truth about Min-woo. Bo-ra also suggests that Kyeong-do should add a video of Ji-yeon’s episode to enhance the impact of the article.
This episode of Surely Tomorrow continues with Kyeong-do finally releasing the article about Min-woo, which quickly becomes the talk of the town. Ji-yeon is satisfied that the truth is finally out in public. Min-woo is arrested for his crimes after Ji-yeon speaks with the assistant who drugged her food continuously and tells her to come clean about her crimes to the police.
While Ji-yeon visits Min-woo in prison, she tells her that she did not expect that he would stoop this low for his goals. Min-woo’s situation is finally solved. Yet, Kyeong-do and Ji-woo stay apart from one another. Ji-woo tries to get closer to Kyeong-do by bringing him food at his workplace. She also meets with his parents. However, Kyeong-do keeps avoiding her.
Ji-woo also meets with Kyeong-do’s friends. This episode of Surely Tomorrow continues with Kyeong-do’s parents asking Kyeong-do to take a break for a year. They give him money so that he can sustain himself for the time period and get away from the incessant stress that he is going through because of his separation from Ji-woo.
Kyeong-do decides to accept this opportunity. He then asks to meet Ji-woo. After meeting, Kyeong-do tells Ji-woo about his decision to travel for a year. Ji-woo is heartbroken about Kyeong-do’s decision.
A year passes by with Kyeong-do and Ji-woo each moving on with their professional lives, yet they keep reminiscing about each other, unable to move on. Bringing Lucas in at Jarim Apparel completely transforms that company, bringing in immense success. As this episode of Surely Tomorrow continues, Ji-woo also visits Malaga once again; however, she and Kyeong-do do not cross paths even once.
After Ji-woo returns, she gets a call from Jeong-min giving her tragic news. Jeong-min also calls Kyeong-do about the same. The news makes Kyeong-do immediately take a flight and return. It is revealed that Woo-shik met with a fire accident at the theater. He could not escape as the entrance collapsed. At the funeral, Kyeong-do finds Ji-woo. All of them are devastated at the sudden death of Woo-sik.
They begin to discuss about the time they spent together with Woo-sik. Kyeong-do informs Ji-woo that he will be leaving once again. This shatters Ji-woo’s heart, yet she does not tell him to stay back. At the end of this episode of Surely Tomorrow, Kyeong-do waits at the airport to return, while Ji-woo gets more and more restless at work.
She decides to reach the airport to stop Kyeong-do. She begins to worry that maybe he has already left. Right before Kyeong-do is about to leave, Ji-woo asks her to stay back. This causes them to share a heartfelt moment. Kyeong-do stays back, surrendering to his love for Ji-woo.
