Senna is an upcoming Brazilian biographical drama television series about the life of Ayrton Senna, a racing driver who won three F1 world championships. Netflix announced the show in September 2020, after which production immediately began. The series is directed by Vince Amorim, and Gullane Company is the production company behind the show.
The upcoming Netflix biopic tracks the ups and downs of Ayrton Senna's personal life and career until his death. The on-location shoot has been done in South America, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. The show then wrapped up its shoot entirely in the UK.
When is the release date of Senna?
The show will premiere on Friday, November 29, 2024. The release date occurred two years after the original intended release date. In September 2020, Netflix stated they were developing a new drama about the triple-time F1 world champion, although COVID-19 caused unexpected delays.
Because of the pandemic and the delay it caused in the filming and production of the show, the desired target, which was initially set to be released in 2022, was delayed.
