Peacemaker Season 2 just came to an end with a cliffhanger on October 9, 2025. The season had begun with Chris discovering an alternate universe: Earth-X and the alternate versions of him and his family. While Chris and the rest of the 11th Street Kids managed to escape Earth-X, Chris felt guilty for all the deaths that occurred around him and took sole responsibility for the interdimensional travel.

In the finale, Full Nelson, we saw him not wanting to let his friends visit him in prison and later wanting to leave town after he got bailed out. Meanwhile, Rick Flag Sr. sent A.R.G.U.S. agents to different alternate universes after Chris gave up the QUC to A.R.G.U.S. This opened up multiple universes and storylines that could potentially be used in the DCU in the future.

However, the show did not show us any version of other DC characters, when there was a big opportunity to do so. While many do not fit into the story or tone of the show, Peacemaker Season 2 could've included alternate versions of some DC characters, like Oswald Cobb, aka The Penguin.

Peacemaker Season 2 could've introduced other DC characters, especially Oswald Cobb

Peacemaker Season 2 revolved around Chris's discovery of Earth-X, and the knowledge that other alternate universes exist and can be accessed. Initially, all the alternate universes the A.R.G.U.S. agents discovered were either full of zombies, imps that just straightaway come for your life, or were a literal black hole. Multiple agents died due to the dangers these universes were full of, but eventually that bloodbath stopped when they discovered a universe that had habitable features, which was later named Salvation.

The season ended with Rick Flag Sr. sending Chris to Salvation in an act of revenge for killing his son. Flag wants to use Salvation as a prison for metahumans and forged Chris's signature on a Salvation volunteer form, thus trapping Chris in Salvation. Other than Earth-X or Salvation, Peacemaker Season 2 does not introduce any alternate universe versions of other DC superheroes like Supergirl or Clayface, both of whom would appear in their own films in the near future.

Besides, Peacemaker Season 2 could even show us unexpected versions of DC characters that the DCU is planning on introducing in the future. This was also a great opportunity to show us DC Elseworld's characters because the finale was mainly about discovering alternate universes.

Oswald Cobb, or The Penguin, as he is called, is a DC character, most recently in the HBO Max show, The Penguin, starring Colin Farrell as the titular character. In the comics, he was the right-hand man of Carmine Falcone, but after Falcone's death, he became a crime lord himself. While the character presently exists in the Elseworld of the DC universe, Peacemaker Season 2 could've shown us an alternate version of him, irrespective of whether they would follow up on it in the future.

Oswald Cobb and the recent show featuring him have been a massive success, and including him in the finale would've perfectly shown fans how diverse the DC Universe is. While all fans already know that multiple universes and versions of their favourite characters exist, nothing beats seeing that play out on screen. While Peacemaker Season 3 is yet to be officially confirmed, the show will hopefully explore the alternate universes further if more seasons are made.

Peacemaker Season 2 is streaming on HBO Max.
