Paramount's Ghosts Australia's entire cast list is out, let's take a look at the eight part series' stellar cast

Ghosts Australia is the latest spin-off of the British original and is set to release sometime in the latter half of this year. As the filming for Ghosts Australia is currently ongoing, Deadline recently reported confirming the cast list for the upcoming show—and it looks stellar.

Ghosts Australia, produced by BBC Studios, will span over eight episodes and is currently being filmed in Perth, Australia. Apart from BBC Studios, the show is also produced by Paramount+ and Network 10.

Ghosts Australia: Cast details explored

As per Deadline, actress Tamala Shelton will be playing Kate alongside Rowan Witt portraying Kate's partner, Season. Apart from these two primary characters, it has also been reported that Mandy McElhinney will appear as Eileen, an Irish character who survived the Irish potato famine and is a mother to thirteen children.

Brent Hill has been roped in to play the no-nonsense naval officer, Gideon. Ines English will be seen as a socialite and a prospective bride from the 1900s named Miranda. The character of Lindy, an energetic and colorful aerobics instructor from the 1980s will be portrayed by Michelle Brasier. Jackson Toser will be seen as Satan, a motorcycle gang member from the 1990s—who is also a kind-hearted guy beneath the rough exterior. Lastly, George Zhao will portray Joon, a miner from the era of the Gold Rush.


What is Ghosts: Australia all about?

The upcoming show follows the character of Kate who imbibes the rare supernatural ability to see ghosts after surviving a near-death experience. The official synopsis reads:

"Kate inherits a haunted mansion and gains the ability to see ghosts. With her partner Sean, she plans to convert it into a boutique hotel, unaware of the spirits' presence and their potential impact on their lives."

What's the latest buzz about Ghosts: Australia?

Daniel Monaghan, who is the Content and Programming SVP at Paramount Australia, recently issued a statement:

"Ghosts Australia boasts a stellar cast and an incredibly talented creative team. We can’t wait to bring this witty and heartfelt show to life, complete with our set of uniquely Australian ghosts."

The upcoming show is produced by Bree-Anne Sykes from Critical Incident. Christiaan Van Vuuren and Madeleine Dyer are serving as the directors of the show which has been executive-produced by Sophia Mogford and Sophia Zachariou. The show will be available on Network 10 and Paramount+ once after its release.
