Sadie Sink shares that she was not prepared for what happens in the Stranger Things Season 5

Stranger Things is a famous Netflix television series. It follows a group of youngsters as they uncover a mysterious area called the Upside Down filled with scary animals and weird events. The children attempt to locate their missing buddy while they protect their village from attacks from this other realm.

The program combines horror, science fiction, and mystery. It's noted for its nostalgic 80s vibe, unique characters, and interesting storylines. It premiered in 2016.

In a recent interview with Teen Vogue on April 3, 2025, Sadie Sink who plays the role of Max discussed Stranger Things Season 5. She confessed that she was not entirely prepared for her character's trials. This proved to be more difficult than she had anticipated. However, she enjoyed Max's path as it allowed her to explore deeper feelings.

She said during the interview:

"There's always a lot of world building done, but I think in this season especially, they really push the limits of that and what audiences have seen so far. That kind of surprised me,” she adds, “how they really opened everything up.”

The Duffer Brothers created Stranger Things. The show’s narrative is set in Hawkins, located in Indiana, which was quite a tiny town in the 1980s. One of the main characters of the show is Max portrayed by Sadie Sink.

In the recent interview with Teen Vogue, Sadie Sink shared that she wasn’t fully prepared for what happens in Stranger Things Season 5.

She further added:

"I had gotten a little piece of information about the final episode back when we were working on season four, but I didn't know if that had stuck or changed in any way. But it was all kind of revealed when we read the final script."

Stranger Things Season 5 is expected to bring a lot of challenges. This is mainly for her character. Season 5 is set to release in late 2025. As per the interview, she found it harder than she anticipated. However, Sink said she appreciated how her character grew over the seasons.

Sadie had started acting at a young age. She appeared in community theater before joining Broadway in Annie. This was specifically when she was 10 years old.

Sadie became widely recognized for her role as Max in Stranger Things. It was a character that became very important in later seasons. She has also acted in movies like The Whale (2022). She also starred in Taylor Swift’s short film All Too Well (2021).
