Love Is Blind has opened its pods once again for season 7 and welcomed 29 contestants here to find out whether 'love is blind or not.' Season 7 premiered on Wednesday, October 2, on Netflix, and the hosts, Nick and Vanessa Lachey, introduced the contestants to the show's format. In season 7, singles have come from all across Washington, D.C., hoping to form genuine connections and take the leap of faith from the pods to the altar.
Love Is Blind released its first six episodes, and singles started getting engaged from the very first episode. The singles discover each other's secrets, vulnerabilities, and future goals, which eventually helps them make the right decision. Stephen and Monica go on a date in episode 2, where they start their conversation by discussing their imperfections and how it is important to embrace them as well.
Stephen bravely revealed secrets from his past relationships and told Monica that he had been unfaithful. Monica gave him the benefit of the doubt by saying nothing is 'black and white. ' The couple connected over their shared family values, political opinions, and plans. They got engaged in episode 4 of Love Is Blind after Stephen proposed to Monica.
After meeting Monica, Stephen was more than sure to walk down the altar with her. He said in a confession:
"That girl is everything, and I am about to marry her."

Another couple to seal with the ring in season 7 of Love Is Blind was Monica and Stephen. The couples' pod journey started in episode 2, and they were quick to jump to substantial topics like their ancestral lineage, their political inclinations, and what they expect in their future partners. Both seemed to have many intersecting viewpoints, which made them comfortable with each other.
Monica also told Stephen that he reminded her of her dad, and she felt very comfortable talking to him. With assurance and the chemistry they found, Stephen's next move was to get on his knee and ask Monica whether she would marry him.
Monica said yes, and soon after, the doors of the pods opened for the two, and they met each other in person. Along with the ring, Stephen also brought his T-shirt as a token of love for Monica. Both chimed in on how happy and warm they felt with each other. Monica got emotional at the proposal and told the cameras that she was pleased and was blown away by the gorgeous ring.
