More on Lara Macy's character in the NCIS: Origins Season 1 finale.

The NCIS: Origins Season 1 finale will feature a veteran character from NCIS: Los Angeles

It is always interesting to see NCIS franchise characters return as their younger selves in the prequel spin-off, NCIS: Origins, and the Season 1 finale will have yet another addition to the list.

Fans of the long-running procedural might remember Lara Macy, the Agent in Charge of the Office of Special Projects. She was featured in the NCIS Season 6 two-parter, Legend (Part I and Part II), The event was a backdoor pilot for NCIS: Los Angeles. However, Lara could not appear as a character in the spin-off, as she was killed.

Her appearance in NCIS Season 6, especially her partnering up with Harmon's Gibbs, hints at some sort of a history that will finally be revealed in the NCIS: Origins Season 1 finale.

While the parent show did not give us the backstory or why there was bad blood between the characters, the prequel Season 1 finale will finally reveal that the characters go way back, and Lara was connected to Gibbs' investigation in relation to Pedro's murder case.

What can you expect from the NCIS: Origins Season 1 finale?

The NCIS: Origins Season 1 finale will close an important chapter in Gibbs's life: His vengeance against Pedro and his coming to terms with his wife and daughter's deaths.

As seen earlier, Gibbs killed Pedro in an act of vengeance. Lara's introduction and her actions as the Lieutenant investigating Pedro's murder will finally give the case its due closure.

While Gibbs later learned that Lara was actually protecting him from the inside and was concealing important evidence against him, fans will likely see the animosity between the two characters in the finale.

Since Gibbs learned the truth about Lara later in his career, the NCIS: Origins Season 1 finale, which will air on April 28, will see Lara's investigation against Gibbs, as he is an important suspect in Pedro's murder.

The prequel spin-off will also explore a new dynamic between the characters by presenting Lara in a new light. While she was on the same team as Gibbs in NCIS Season 6, it will be interesting to see how the situation plays out, now that she is investigating against him.

Be sure to tune in on April 28, 2025, to catch the explosive finale to the spin-off series.
