What happened in Love Me Episodes 1-2?

In the first two episodes of Love Me, we are introduced to Jun-kyung, a woman who is ready to spend her life alone and not get married. However, this changes over the course of two episodes after she loses her mother and later ends up spending a night in her neighbor’s house.

Jun-kyung’s relationship with her mother was shown to be complex, as when they were together, they always ended up arguing. Therefore, her mother’s sudden death hits Jun-kyung hard, as the last thing she did with her mother was fight. All the memories come flooding back, and she again begins blaming herself for her mother’s accident, which resulted in her losing a limb.

However, the K-drama also depicts how a person’s sadness and sorrows can eventually wither away. We see Jun-kyung’s father going on a trip alone and finding a new connection there. On the other hand, after a failed blind date, Jun-kyung goes out with her neighbor, Do-hyun, and leaves in the middle. Jun-kyung’s younger brother also experiences changes in his life as he discovers his girlfriend cheating on him.

She later apologizes to him and ends up sleeping with him, which shocks them both. In the upcoming episodes, more about the life of the Seo family will be depicted, and we will see if they take steps to move forward in life or remain emotionally stuck.
