Netflix's Love is Blind: Habibi is a dating experiment with various phases. The first one is pod dates, where participants go on blind dates, unable to see each other. After several pod dates, they find their potential connections and continue to explore them further.
After the participants are sure, they advance towards getting engaged and then get a chance to witness their "fiance." Later, the engaged couples advance to the show's next phase, i.e., vacation. They spend more time during the day and learn more about their partners.
The second phase of Love is Blind: Habibi started from the show's fourth episode. After Netflix aired the show's debut season on October 10, 2024, fans enjoyed the latest version of the popular dating show franchise.
The hosts revealed that the engaged couples from the first phase of Love is Blind: Habibi was Ammar and Karma, Mahammad and Safa, Simo and Hajar, Khatab and Asma, Chafic and Dounia, and Mido and Nour.
However, the host revealed,
"After she met Khatab, Asma became hesitant and unsure of her feelings. Therefore, the couple decided to take it slow and chose not to move on to the next phase of the experience."
Engaged couple's first dates: Love is Blind: Habibi
Apart from Asma and Khatab, the remaining five engaged couples' first dates were featured on the show's fourth episode. It was the participants' second meeting overall since they met for the first time during their engagement/ reveal during the pods' phase.
The next, aka Vacation Phase of Love is Blind: Habibi, started when four weeks were left until the couple's weddings.
Safa and Mohammed
The first couple to meet each other for their first date on Love is Blind: Habibi was Safa and Mohammed. They found many mutual interests and connected on a deeper level. They were excited to spend more time and "get closer to each other."
Despite Safa's "work/ traveling" schedule, the couple could move past such major things and was ready to work things out. Their date went amazing, and the couple shared many things.
Karma and Ammar
The next couple was Karma and Ammar. The male participant was sure to "love her more" after spending more time with Karma. Even though Ammar was "a lot" late for their first date, he already had nicknames for Karma.
Both discussed many things, including the Love is Blind: Habibi's first phase. They referred to it as "the prison." Karma shared that Ammar's voice was the best thing about the prison. While Karma teased Ammar, he told her to "change her character."
Nour and Mido
The next date on Love is Blind: Habibi was between Nour and Mido. While Nour shared her "hair" and how she needs someone to do it, Mido was amazed. The couple talked about appearances and similar topics. While the female participant felt quite "hot" throughout their date, she couldn't have a proper conversation.
Being irritated by her behavior, Mido seemed unhappy. He mentioned getting negative vibes from his fiance and suspected something had changed between them. Even though, at one point, Nour shared that "it" changed for the better.
Dounia and Chafic
While Chafic was Dounia's first relationship, the male participant was quite happy. He mentioned his past relationships where he had to "deal" with partners who were emotionally "already done." On the other hand, Dounia thought otherwise.
The couple further discussed how Chafic was a "jealous" type, and he would be watching how his fiance interacted with other male and female participants. Despite liking Chafic, Dounia was worried after learning about his "jealous" side.
Hajar and Simo
Hajar and Simo went for a lunch date, which comparatively did not go well. After disagreeing on where they would be settling down, the couple argued. Hajar mentioned she wanted freedom, while Simo was adamant that staying closer to the family would mean real freedom.
Later on, when Hajar refused to eat her meal because the serving staff member was late, Simo expressed his views on the situation. He even told Simo that he would leave the restaurant upon seeing such behavior from her.
By the end of the day, when the first dates ended, the participants returned to their separate rooms at the vacation resort. Further, in the fourth episode, couples spend more time together, trying to understand each other better.
