In the Last Samurai Standing ending, the final battle between Shujiro and Bukotsu concludes their long-time rivalry. Decades ago, Shujiro had taken Bukotsu off to die in the war. Bukotsu enters the Kodoku tournament so that he can avenge. He cannot live peacefully as he pursues Shujiro during the contest. They are introduced to each other in a hut where there are fireworks.

The gunfire blasts the fireworks at them. These two men both burst into fire and rushed to a lake. Bukotsu is killed by Shujiro, and the cycle of revenge ends. His victory demonstrates his desire to defend his loved ones and leave the old ways of the samurai.

2. Kyojin's unexpected conspiracy and betrayal

In the Last Samurai Standing, Kyojin Tsuge pretends to be an intelligent and good friend to Shujiro, Futaba, and Iroha at the tournament. He appears to be interested in knowing the running of the Kodoku contest. However, eventually he reveals himself. He informs one of the hunters of the whereabouts of Iroha's brothers after he warns them of danger.

This displays his lack of ever being on their side. He used them for his own plan. Similar to the way he is involved in something that is higher, his secret connection and knowing suggest otherwise. Investigating the real intentions of Kyojin and who to believe or not to believe the person is the question that no one knows the answer to now.

3. Kawaji's master plan to erase the Samurai Class

As the conclusion of Last Samurai Standing is drawn, Home Minister Okubo finds out that the police chief Kawaji was the one who invented the Kodoku tournament. According to Kawaji, samurai are a menace to the future of Japan. He challenged himself to kill the final samurai and attract the rich people.

When Okubo is about to tell the truth, Kawaji even deploys an assassin by the name Sakura to kill him. Okubo is gone, and Kawaji intends to assume all powers and transform Japan into a police state. Shujiro and Futaba resolve to travel to Tokyo to end him and expose the black plot of it all.

The Last Samurai Standing is the marvelous closure of the movie that brings together individual enmities, astounding treacheries, and political intrigues. Shujiro can overcome Bukotsu, and Kyojin is found out as a traitor, and his wicked scheme by Kawaji is made apparent. These threads establish a thrilling first and second season with more conflict and danger yet to come for our heroes.
