Peacemaker Season 2 is just about two months away, and the marketing for the upcoming season has been ramping up slowly. The first episode of the upcoming season is set to release on August 21, 2025. The last footage from the upcoming season was the sizzle reel that was released on June 2, 2025. One of the intriguing aspects in the video was the White Dragon.

This White Dragon, though, is different as he is not in his usual red and white costume. This is where the multiverse theory comes in. There are hints in the trailer that Peacemaker Season 2 might be dabbling in the multiverse. There is a scene in the trailer where Chris walks into his supposed multiversal counterpart's room. Thus, some believe that the new White Dragon is Christopher's dead brother, Keith.

Keith's possible return in Peacemaker Season 2 explained

In May 2025, James Gunn and actor John Cena were interviewed by Entertainment Weekly. In the interview, James Gunn provided a few details about what we can expect from Peacemaker Season 2. Turns out the pocket dimension inside which Chris stored his Peacemaker gear will play a greater role in the upcoming second season, scheduled to release this August.

James Gunn confirmed that the pocket dimension, which is dubbed the QUC, or Quantum Unfolding Chamber, will play a role in the upcoming season of Peacemaker. Moreover, the filmmaker and showrunner also revealed that Peacemaker Season 2 will feature a big cameo, close to its end. Gunn's exact words to Entertainment Weekly were:

"You've seen what we call the QUC, the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, in the first season of Peacemaker, and we see more about that technology in Superman. The QUC is the center of the story in Peacemaker season 2... We see a lot of different characters from Superman in the [season], [including] Isabela and Nathan and Sean, and then we see a bunch of other characters later on in the season from other parts of the DCU and from Superman. There might even be one really, really, really big cameo near the end of the show."

Thus, some have theorized that the supposed big cameo is Keith from a parallel Earth, who took over the mantle of the White Dragon. However, it needs to be said that the secret cameo for a while is still under wraps.

While a lot of fans believe that the cameo is an iconic character like the DCU Batman, considering the nature of the show, it won't be surprising if the big cameo is a blink-and-miss appearance from James Gunn, ultimately humoring everyone.

What is Peacemaker Season 2 about?

Looks like the second season will follow Chris trying to convince the world to take him seriously. The trailer showed Chris trying to join the Justice Gang, which consists of the Guy Gardner version of Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, and Maxwell Lord. As Chris tries to put forth his best face, the past comes back to haunt him as Rick Flag Sr. is on his tail to settle the scores.
