"Is this for real?": Million Dollar Secret's Sam reacts upon becoming the new millionaire

Million Dollar Secret's Episode 5 premiered on Netflix on April 2, 2025. The recently released episode, The Kill Shot, featured cast members including Sam, Corey, Sydnee, Cara, Jaimi, Lydia, Chris, Kyle, and Phillip.

The fifth episode started with an elimination dinner, which resulted in Phillip's elimination. The next morning, the remaining guests were notified about the new millionaire and that any of them could become that.

After they all went to their rooms and checked their boxes, Samantha, aka Sam, had become the new millionaire. As she unlocked her box, her jaw dropped. The Million Dollar Secret star saw the box filled with one million dollars.

"Oh, fu..Oh my God. Is this for real? Oh, goodness gracious. I wanted no part of it, but now I don't have a choice. Oh my God," she said.

Million Dollar Secret Episode 5: Sam became the new millionaire followed by Phillip's exit

After Phillip's elimination from the Million Dollar Secret, the host, Peter Serafinowicz announced:

"Tomorrow, we will have a brand-new millionaire."

The next morning, at The Stag, everyone enjoyed their breakfast. They discussed how it was "peace" as none of them was the new millionaire. Participants, including Sam, Corey, Sydnee, Cara, Jaimi, Lydia, Chris, and Kyle, were still in the game.

To get their minds away from the subject of "new millionaire," they all discussed Cara's wedding ring. She revealed it's been seven years since she got married. As they were all casually having breakfast table conversations, they were notified:

"Hello, guests, The time has come. Please return to your rooms where the million dollars is waiting for one of you."

Million Dollar Secret guests returned to their rooms, waiting to unlock their box and see who had become the new millionaire.

"We're close enough to the end of the game that you can find a million dollars and actually win," confessed Chris.

On the other hand, Sam didn't want to find the million dollars in her box.

"That money is way too hot. That's like...It's like drug money that hasn't been washed properly. You want no part of it. Once I'm through a couple more rounds, I will welcome it." she confessed.

Million Dollar Secret star Sydnee confessed that she would want money when "four people" were left in the game. Finally, the moment was there; everyone, alone in their rooms, unlocked their boxes. Their box turned out to be empty, but not for Sam.

Witnessing a million dollars in cash in her box, Sam had become the new millionaire. She wanted no part of it. Soon, she heard footsteps and saw the host, Peter, arriving in her room. She asked Peter what did it mean.

"This million dollars, that's yours right now. Everybody will be hunting you. Does anybody in the house know that you're a cop?" Peter asked.

In response, Sam said that since she didn't trust anybody, she hadn't revealed her identity to anybody. Peter then explained to Sam how being a millionaire had special "perks" with it. He then explained how a secret agenda can help her gain "power." When she asked about the power, Peter revealed:

"Only your vote will count at the elimination meal. Giving you the chance to eliminate anyone who threatens your grapes on keeping the money. The advantages are now greater, but that also means that the risks are higher, and your agenda could easily be spotted."

Further, in Million Dollar Secret's fifth episode, Peter explains the secret agenda that newly became millionaire Sam has to fulfil.
