Golden Globes 2026 just belonged to Adolescence. Full stop. If you blinked during the ceremony, you probably missed another trophy landing in the show's lap. Netflix's gritty limited series owned the room, the headlines, and every post-show conversation.

By the end of the night, Adolescence had four major wins and turned itself into the clear TV champion of the evening. So yes, the Netflix show dominated the award show because the performances were good, the story stuck with the people, and wins kept rolling in back to back at the Golden Globes 2026 awards.

From best limited series to a clean acting sweep, Adolescence had no chill

The first big flex of the night came when Adolescence picked up Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. This win instantly set the tone about how this wasn't going to be a quiet evening for the show.

Creator and writer Jack Thorne took the stage during his acceptance speech and made it clear what the Netflix series stands for. He said the show is not meant to criticize young people but rather "the fifth and the debris we have laid in their path."

Then the awards for the night started to pile up. Stephen Graham won Best Male Actor in a Limited Series for his role as a struggling father trying to understand his son and hold his family together while supporting them in any way that he can.

Erin Doherty then won an award for the Best Female Supporting Actor, which was yet another solid win for the show. And the loudest win of the night came to Owen Cooper and at just the age of 16, he became the youngest actor ever to win a Golden Globe when he won an award for Best Supporting Actor.

Adolescence basically swept its lane at Golden Globes 2026 and didn’t leave much room for anyone else.

Why the Netflix hit was always built for a big Golden Globes 2026 moment

The four episode limited series follows Jamie Miller, a 13 year old boy arrested in a murder case of a girl from school, but the real focus is on how the situation tears through his family and exposes deeper issues around anger, influence, and responsibility.

Owen Cooper plays Jamie, Stephen Graham plays Jamie's father Eddie, and Erin Doherty plays plays Briony Ariston, a clinical psychologist trying to evaluate Jamie's case.

The show also stands out because every episode is filmed with a one-take, which makes the show feel unfiltered and raw. This style of filming has clearly paid off with the audience.

According to Deadline, the Netflix series has crossed 141 million views in its first three months of release becoming Netflix's second most watch series.

At Golden Globes 2026, Netflix's dominance in the TV categories was led almost entirely by Adolescence. While other shows picked up scattered wins, Adolescence walked away with 4 clear wins and controlled the limited series conversation from start to finish.

Golden Globes 2026 will be remembered as the night Adolescence turned the awards show into a full on sweep. Four historic wins made the series impossible to ignore.

From Best Limited Series to standout acting wins, every trophy supported how the show connected with the audience and voters both. It wasn't just a good night for the show but a night that locked Adolescence in as the biggest TV winner of the Golden Globes 2026 awards night.
