Did indie artist Chuck Adams qualify for the auditions on America's Got Talent Season 20?

Chuck Adams appeared for auditions on America's Got Talent Season 20 Episode 5 and rocked the stage. He swayed all the judges and got a green light to go further in the competition. So yes, Chuck Adams has qualified for the auditions round.

According to his bio on Instagram, he is an indie artist. Chuck hails from Connecticut. Even though he did not receive the golden buzzer, each of the judges was in awe of his performance on stage, and even Terry Crews was appreciative.

As soon as he stepped on stage and introduced himself with a "hello," Simon made a joke saying that he knows Chuck's mother. When Sofia asked how he knew her, Simon said that she was sitting in the front row. Voicing the thoughts of many viewers, Sofia quipped that it sounded like him and Chuck's mom are "friends forever."

Telling more about himself, Chuck said that he started in the music industry very young. Things started to go really great until they didn't. He said that he signed a record deal early on in his career. But like "most of them," his went south, and this cost him about 10 to 12 years.

But his decision to appear on America's Got Talent was influenced by his mother, who has been asking him to appear and give an audition for almost a decade.

Sofia was not letting the "friend" comment go away anytime soon and echoed Chuck's mom's feelings by signaling that he must be forcing her son to appear on the stage because she is good friends with Simon. Chuck then revealed that he is 40 years old right now.

As soon as Chuck hit his first note on America's Got Talent stage, it was clear to each member of the audience that he was going forward this road. He went on to sing one of the sweetest renditions of Iris that anyone has ever heard.

By the end, all four judges were shocked at how good he was and gave him a standing ovation. Commenting on how Chuck had a record deal but it went all wrong, Howie said,

"There's a vibe about you that is relaxed. ... You know who you are now more than you did when you had your record deal."

Simon and Sofia were both impressed as well. Simon said,

"If this was about giving you confidence, this absolutely worked. You have a presence about you."

Then Sofia agreed and said,

"I feel like you can go very far in this competition."

As for Mel B, who has been holding back her yeses a lot on America's Got Talent Season 2,0 as the fans have claimed, did not hesitate this time and said,

"I think today nerves threw you off. There's so much more that I know you can give."

He got yeses from all four judges, meaning Chuck Adams will go on to the next rounds on America's Got Talent.
