The seventh episode of Daredevil: Born Again, "Art for Art's Sake", heavily focused on Muse and Matt Murdock's therapist girlfriend, Heather Glenn. After approaching Heather in the second episode, Hunter Doohan's Muse/Bastian Cooper sits down for a therapy session with her. However, Bastian is not there in Heather's office for her help but rather to hunt down his latest victim, Heather herself.
Luckily, Daredevil, who has identified Muse's next victim, arrives at Heather's office on time, and a brutal fight between him and Muse ensues. Just earlier in this Daredevil: Born Again episode, we learn that Muse had competed in taekwondo championships, which he hated, but the training helped him go toe-to-toe with The Man Without Fear himself.
However, as the fight almost comes to a close and Fisk's Anti-vigilante Task Force is nearing the office, because even they have identified Heather as Muse's next victim, Heather shoots Muse and falls unconscious. Daredevil tries to save her, and he manages to do so. But while trying to revive The Man Without Fear, in a moment of vulnerability, calls Heather by her name.
Heather sees Matt sitting next to her in the hospital when she brings up Daredevil, using her name despite not knowing her at all. This has viewers of Daredevil: Born Again wondering if she knows that her boyfriend is the vigilante. For now, we don't know if she has pieced together Matt Murdock's secret or not.
Did Daredevil: Born Again's Heather Glenn figure out that Matt Murdock is the Daredevil?
As stated earlier, Heather did hear Daredevil using her name even when she was barely conscious. When Matt confirms that he knew about Daredevil using Heather's name, he doesn't go further and reveal that he was the horned vigilante. Recently, Margarita Levieva, the actress who plays Heather Glenn, sat down for an interview with ScreenRant in which she spoke about whether her character knows Matt's secret or not:
It's a lot, and obviously, we're in a world that is extreme and dealing with extreme circumstances, because in the real world, [laughs] the idea of finding out that the person that you're basically living with and believe could be your partner for life, perhaps is Daredevil, is pretty out there, and then to also have a patient who's a vigilante, it's a lot for Heather. I wondered a lot through the season, 'How much does she suspect?' She is a highly capable doctor or psychiatrist, so it's her job to sort of pick up on the clues, and her intuition has to be really sharpened. I wonder if there was a part of her that just didn't want to know that. Sometimes in life where you're like, 'I know something is off, but I don't want to know. I want to believe the fairy tale right now. I want to believe this life that I've chosen for now.' So I'm curious to see what would happen if she finds out.
The Daredevil: Born Again actress seems to be suggesting that, for now, she doesn't know about Matt Murdock's double life as a lawyer and vigilante. However, it also suggests that even if she does not know for now, the therapist may figure out the truth soon enough.
