Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 is over. And unsurprisingly, the finale left us hanging. This season did not really follow the course of the original Daredevil series. It went down its own path.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 began with a loss. Foggy Nelson’s death in the first episode hit hard. We saw Matt Murdock stripped down to his most vulnerable self. We saw him grieving and giving up on being the street vigilante, Daredevil.

The Punisher's return wasn’t fan service. It was a wake-up call. His message to Matt was to stop running from his pain and do something about it.

Mayor Fisk has launched an anti-vigilante task force. It's basically a squad of law-bending enforcers who take extreme measures. This introduces new levels of threat and danger to the series.

Bullseye took a shot at Fisk. The Punisher and Daredevil are working together now. And Matt is talking about forming an army.

Season 2 is going to be war. And we’re here for it.

Showrunner Dario Scardapane has finally revealed that we can expect Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 to be out in March 2026.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 - A quick recap

Season 1 of Daredevil: Born Again was all about its characters and the themes it touched upon. Matt Murdock was torn between two lives right from the start. He was trying to be a lawyer, but he also could not ignore the masked vigilante who knew that he couldn’t really walk away from the fight.

A new kind of enemy also emerged in the form of bad cops wearing the Punisher's skull symbol. All credit to Mayor Wilson Fisk. He is now more powerful with even legal authority to do things his way.

And then there’s Vanessa. Her marriage to Fisk was rocky this season. She has also grown more ambitious. But she knows how dangerous her husband is. She made certain moves on her own. But never without caution, as she is aware that challenging Fisk directly could cost her everything.

As for the fan favorite character, Foggy only appeared in the opening episode. But we did see Karen Page return in the finale, which also gave us a love triangle between Karen, Frank, and Matt.

Matt and Frank Castle remained complicated as ever. They’re allies in the bigger picture, but their ideologies still clash. One wants redemption through the law. The other prefers a bullet to the head.

Bullseye escaped prison and is out there somewhere. He attempted to shoot Fisk, but Matt took that bullet instead. And all he got in return was a death order.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is officially coming in March 2026

Fans have been itching to know when they will see the next of the Devil. Showrunner Dario Scardapane has finally given us the answer we’ve all been waiting for.

We already knew that Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 was slated for a 2026 release, but we now have a confirmed month. March 2026 is when the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen returns to Disney+.

The timing couldn’t be more perfect. With Mayor Fisk declaring martial law and starting a war against vigilantes, the city’s about to become a war zone. And that opens the door for some serious reinforcements. We could see more street-level heroes stepping in to join Daredevil’s cause. Especially now that Fisk’s anti-vigilante force is crossing every line imaginable.

Let’s not forget that post-credit scene either. We saw The Punisher manipulate one of the guards and try to break out of his cage. That alone will be interesting to see in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.

Here’s what Scardapane shared about the season wrap-up:

“It’s all led up to this. Such a mix of emotions as we close out Season 1. So grateful for the cast, crew, and studio for their confidence and indulgence. Biggest of thanks to Sana, Brad, Kevin, Lou, Aaron, Justin, Charlie, Vincent, Deb, John, and the whole Mad Circus. And yeah, Season 2, March 2026.”

March 2026 needs to come soon enough.
